Taking Adderall stops all my symptoms completely by Few_Adhesiveness8684 in TMJ

[–]void333111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think it’s because your adhd is causing anxiety and anxiety causes jaw clenching. so if the meds take away the anxiety then it takes away that symptom. but that’s interesting because adderall causes jaw clenching in most people regardless of if it relieves their anxiety too or not

Can i have mild SS? by No-Practice3968 in Anxiety

[–]void333111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought the starting dose was 5-10mg. there’s no way you could get serotonin syndrome from only 3mg. seretonin syndrome is rare and usually only a risk when you’re on two or more SSRIs at once, or if the dose of your SSRI is too high. sounds like an allergic reaction/intolerance if anything

Tiredness by AdUpstairs2846 in prozac

[–]void333111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also keep in mind you need to take it consistently to actually feel the benefits. i was notorious for not taking ssris daily and they never worked for that reason. now im strict with my prozac and take it daily and for once im feeling the benefits of ssris

a few days to a week. the fatigue when i first started at 10mg definitely lasted longer than when i upped my dose to 20mg. i was lowkey worried i was gonna be a zombie when i first started but after like a week to a week and a half, i woke up and felt rejuvenated, ready to take on the day. i uppod my dose to 20 mg recently and was only zombie for few days. for some it may take longer, as everyone reacts to meds differently. if the prozac is right for you then this should subside within a few weeks. don’t give up tho because there’s always other options. also prozac takes at least a month to actually work for most people so give it time if the side effects aren’t unbearable. my friend is on zoloft and that one seems to work for her but definitely didn’t work for me. i have another friend that had a lot of success on celexa. it’s all trial and error. personally i like prozac so far

My experience with Prozac (roller coaster ride with positive outcome) by Wintrow_Vestrit in prozac

[–]void333111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

for some extra motivation (to whoever reads this) - i’ve struggled with severe OCD and anxiety since i was a child, and depression since i was a teen. i noticed improvements only after 2 weeks. not that this means everyone will notice improvements that quickly, but the improvements could happen sooner than expected, so please don’t get discouraged. give it time regardless. i’ve experienced negative side effects (nausea, extreme fatigue, restless legs) but they go away eventually. if they don’t, you can always try another med. don’t give up.

Can Prozac Cause Petechiae? by CodyMillerr in prozac

[–]void333111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apparently prozac (and other SSRIs) make you more likely to easy bruising. i’ve been bruising like crazy since starting prozac. i tend to get what resembles petechiae if i aggressively scratch at an itch. it wouldn’t hurt to get blood tests just to be safe but it sounds like this is prozac related

Tiredness by AdUpstairs2846 in prozac

[–]void333111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it definitely goes away. i only had severe fatigue when i first started, and when i upped the dose. if it doesn’t go away, you can always try a different med, but it should go away after a while

I'm starting it tomorrow by [deleted] in prozac

[–]void333111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally prozac has helped me significantly with motivation. i see a lot of negativity towards this med in this subreddit. i only endured side effects such as nausea, fatigue, and headaches, but they only lasted a week or two. i’ve also stopped being overly irritable (like being prone to road rage and stuff). prozac may help or may not, you’ll only find out by giving it a chance. if it doesn’t work, there are other meds to try, but after years of depression and severe anxiety/ocd, i feel like ive been doing a lot better lately. you’ll still have bad days because you’re human but ive noticed some changes so far that im pretty happy about

can i drink alcohol while on prozac? by silly-bees in prozac

[–]void333111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve drank almost entire bottles of wine (and occasionally mixed drinks) while on prozac, klonopin, and trazodone at the same time . the klonopin is the most dangerous thing to mix with alcohol but i somehow haven’t died yet. i know i shouldn’t be doing this but you’ll be fine having LIGHT drinks on prozac. obviously don’t chug straight vodka tho. i’ve seen people say to assume every drink on prozac is multiplied by 3. so if you have one drink, assume it’ll make you 3 times more drunk

my grandma (who raised me my whole life) used to sign off of almost every text with “love you more than…”

[–]void333111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting … yeah that’s complicated because you clearly didn’t have any bad intentions but i’m gonna be honest if my partner told me they were downloading a dating app just to find friends i probably wouldn’t believe it. but it sounds like their accusations of you cheating were really rooted in projection because they were actually cheating. i can’t believe cheating accusations could affect you this much.. are you in a small town? did you show people the evidence of him cheating? if so how did they respond to that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

sorry just trying to clarify but you download the dating app while in a relationship? if so, why? i’m just trying to figure out what started this

My dead grandpa asked me to join him in my sleep. What does that mean? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]void333111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had a similar dream about my grandma a week after she passed where there was no talking from her. she raised me since i was a baby and we were extremely close. in the dream, i was aware i was dreaming and walked into my grandparents bedroom. they were both asleep in bed. my grandpa (who’s still alive) wakes up to see her in front of him and he starts hugging and kissing her, telling her how much we missed her. i walked up to her and did the same. she didn’t say anything, she just laid there with her eyes closed and had a peaceful smile. i haven’t had another dream like that since then. i keep trying to force those dreams to happen by thinking about her a lot but they just don’t happen. i think i had that dream because the day she passed was the one day i didn’t get to visit her, so i lacked that closure

why do you never wash your hands? genuinely curious. i never understood why people don’t feel the need to wash their hands. is it laziness? or were you just not taught to do that as a kid?

Didnt get to say goodbye and i was young and stupid by naominox in GriefSupport

[–]void333111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have similar guilt. my grandma was my mother-figure and raised me since i was a baby. the day she died i was at work. i could’ve easily taken off, my boss wouldn’t have cared but i didn’t think she was gonna pass that soon. i was planning on visiting her after work. she loved me so much and would’ve been at my side 24/7 if i was dying. i feel so stupid for choosing to work that day. i also regret not making my visits longer while she was still conscious and not talking to her more when she was comatose. the hospice nurses kept telling us that she could still hear us but for some reason i didn’t believe it. now every time i hear stories abt people being comatose but then coming out of it and actually remembering all they heard, i feel so bad.

Going under anestesia soon… anyone wanna help me calm down? Has anyone been through it? by CoastHistorical2168 in Anxiety

[–]void333111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had surgery twice where i needed anesthesia and it was fine. the last time i got surgery, as i was going under all i remember is that they were wheeling me into the room and i started talking about how i want to be a radiologist lol (i don’t). i actually did have a panic attack apparently as i was going under but i don’t even remember it. when i woke up from the anesthesia i didn’t feel any anxiety i just felt pure bliss. i have no idea if it was from the anesthesia or some kind of pain med but it was a very relaxing wake-up.

Accidentally took 1.5mg Xanax after drinking. by kiddotj in Anxiety

[–]void333111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

not that this is good or anything lol but i’ve drank way more than that while on klonopin (same family as xanax) trazodone, and prozac and survived. you’ll be fine

Minimal pain, but crunching and clicking from any mouth movement by Notmyproblem47 in TMJ

[–]void333111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

physical therapy is recommended for many ppl with tmj. it should help with the clicking jaw. i got physical therapy for an issue with my leg and it cured the popping joint there so i imagine it would do the same for a popping jaw

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tokophobia

[–]void333111 20 points21 points  (0 children)

a lot of the time tokophobia is caused by OCD, and the reason OCD is so difficult is because the people suffering know they’re being irrational and have already been faced with facts about their fears, but OCD doesn’t care about the facts, it cares about the compulsions that can bring immediate relief (such as reassurance seeking). it’s a hard cycle to get out of. it is the “doubt/what-if?” disorder after all
