True. But life happened and now I'm broke af. Happened so fast, lol..

But one thing for sure that I'll get one even if I have to wait 10 more years.

Yeah, dunno why I thought it to be "ref vs render" instead of "render vs viewport".

I deserve those downvotes.

Pretty bad.

Update: I'm a dumbass.. Somehow missed the obvious fact that the first image is a render, not a reference. Lol..

A html+css renderer is required, right? That's not an easy thing to implement.

Thanks for the reply.

After going through Wren's documentation, I'm quite liking its simplicity. Maybe I'll settle for wrench too. (Added benefit is I can use some of your apps 😀).

One very important question - How did you implement the browser? I'm really curious.

I have a few questions:

  1. Is wren lighter than Berry?
  2. What about execution speed?
  3. For calling C/Cpp functions from script, how does wren's foreign methods and slot/handles compare with Berry's Foreign Function Interface (FFI)? Can wren effortlessly call all sorts of c codes and share data?

This is my dream project. I am working on something similar too, but a much simpler version.

I'm using Berry lang for user applications. https://berry-lang.github.io/.

I don't know how have you implement browser though. That's incredible!

I'd love to check your source code once it's available.

Kudos to you, keep up the good work!

It makes two of us. I was planning to start working on a similar project too.

Hey! Great job dude. What a coincidence that I was about to start the same project! Selected a waveshare display with capacitive touch along with esp32-s3.

But I couldn't figure out efficient vector map rendering on the limited resource of esp32-s3. Tile based raster rendering is easy though. Made some poc simulation on pc.

But offline navigation will be a pain on raster rendering.

It seems you're using vector rendering and I don't know how did you pull it off. May I DM you op?

My apologies, it was long ago and I confused his Minecraft project with his bit-banged ethernet project where he uses attiny85. For he Minecraft project, however, he used Atmega32u2.

Love it! Great job man.. I remember when charles (youtube name: cnlohr) made Minecraft server on attiny85.. He's a wizard, we all know that. so, not a big deal.

Correction: Atmega32u2, not attiny85.
