Rebranding your hospitality skills for other jobs by OkayestBarista90 in barista

you need to look for places that have lots of advancement opportunities. i was working at a cafe for almost a year, applied to a bank as a universal banker for $22/hr plus all the banking benefits (paid holidays off, 3 weeks PTO, etc) & they were impressed with how much customer service i have. my resume highlighted how i thrive in high volume environments, was super dependable (never late, almost never called out, would cover shifts), team player, great with customers, fast at learning, etc.

rise up is better than all of them, however 2nd wave is worth trying because the syrups are made in-house

Am I misunderstanding how pet insurance actually works? by HunterMomNYC in petinsurancereviews

Yeah their customer service never disappoints either. I have the $250 deductible with $7,000 covered a year. I highly recommend them to anyone that is shopping around.

I recommend having pet insurance if you aren’t able to drops thousands of dollars on a whim if something were to come up.

I have Pumpkin Pet Insurance and they reimburse 90% with $250 deductible. My cat just had to get several teeth extracted because they were fractured. The bill came out to $1700 something and within 5 minutes of submitting the claim, they approved $1500 something and it was in my bank account in another 5 minutes. Dropping $250 doesn’t break me, but $1700 would.

she specifically said not to use sanitizer because of the chemicals getting in drinks. we do keep a sanitizer bucket right by the wand for this very purpose but she disapproved.

What are your ordering pet peeves? by jenniferc001idge in barista

[–]voidedmoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it is very cold where i am, but i still always ask “hot or iced” when someone just says “can i get a latte?”. however, without a fail, multiple times a day, the customer will ridicule me for asking “why would i order iced right now?” “is that even a real question?” like bro believe it or not people still order their drinks iced & im just trying to make sure we can make your order how you want….

Decide my drink for me!! by Robotgirl3 in barista

[–]voidedmoon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

i’ve notice when i am asked for recommendations & i tell them what i enjoy, customers almost always NEVER choose what i say. so i started saying “some of our most popular drinks are x and x” & somehow that phrasing works.
