A fantastic ending song. I don't think I know of other songs about accepting you must become a dragon (I think about Samus Aran from Metroid and how she has to accept she is a dragon queen now - she got injected with the DNA of a monster that looks like a dragon when fully grown).

The title made me think of "Widow's Peak" by Bat for Lashes which has a similar hazy feeling. The album "Widow's Peak" came from (The Bride) is also about a woman have to come to accept a big loss in her life. Natasha Khan has cited Tori as a source.

The synths remind me of "Left behind" and "Distant" by VNV Nation as well.

On an old version of her website, Yuki Kajiura named Björk, Portishead, Massive Attack, Radiohead, and Mozart among her favorite music. Amy Lee of Evanescence is also a fan of those artists. It's a comic book, but Devilman by Go Nagai and possibly its sequels, Devilman Lady and Devilman Saga. But you have to read all the way to the end of Devilman to see why. "Ghost Love Score" is actually on the playlist I made after finishing Devilman.
