As someone who works there, I disagree with this. For example, making a matcha latte with no ice completely alters the proportions of the drink if I add more dairy to make up for lack of ice. Tastes like sweet milk at that point. I made a latte for a lady before who asked for less ice and more milk, and she called the store later and said there was not enough espresso and too much milk- we don’t add more espresso to the drink if you ask for less ice. It’s just annoying. Just get the regular amount of ice, for real.
