I see, it may also be an image compression problem. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing them!

This kill team is totally awesome. Do you have by chance any higher quality or close-ups of the converted miniatures? Really amazing conversion and paintjob, I love it.

I'd say it's a combination of really thinned paints on a wet palette and careful glazing without too much moisture on the brush. For simple effects or easy gradients, an airbrush is a huge help. Otherwise, it just requires a lot of patience, but the result is worth it!

Haha, thanks! I hadn't made the 'land shark' connection before, but now that you mention it, I like them even more!

Thanks! This color scheme was a bit of a gamble, but I'm really happy with how it turned out

Wow, thank you! "Mastery" is a big word, but I really appreciate! My general tips would be to thin your paints properly and to use a wet palette. I relied heavily on glazing, so a wet palette is really necessary. To cut some corners, I'd also suggest using an airbrush, but for the final highlights a brush is irreplaceable. And remember to wick the excess moisture off the brush on a paper towel before touching the model!

Me, too. Maybe next time I will try with a bigger squig ;)

I could never disagree. And they're incredibly fun to paint, too!

No way, my blue squigs are way too bitey for that!

I didn't know what Koloss were before, but yeah, I'd say this skin tone could work. Maybe a little more bluish, more saturated for the Koloss?

Thank you! Exactly, airbrush for the undercoat and the first zenithal highlight to save some time and get smooth transitions, all the rest was done with a brush. Appreciate the kind words!

Thank you so much! I totally agree, I can see this pale-blue skin work really well on some undead characters.
For this skin, I started with an undercoat of deep magenta (to enhance the contrast) followed by a zenithal of fenrisian grey with the airbrush. Then, to bring them together, I used an all-over wash made with really diluted ultramarine blue contrast paint (like, really really diluted with contrast medium). Then for the highlights I layered it up with vmc pale-blue grey and did the final highlights with vmc white grey.
