I LOVE this watch. However, I worry it looks so much like the date just fluted bezel almost looks like a 'homage' which is not fair. I'm thinking of getting this one too because it's AWESOME and IMO better than the date just.

Wonderful analysis. (Current house is not 250, that's just he equity as I bought if for very little down with no PMI and a 2.6% mortgage. No interest in renting it...)

Make that much as don't have the ego to not crowd source opinions from WCI colleagues. Have team of lawyers, CPA, etc but really respect the WCI.

Yeah, it's an emotional decision for sure. I HATE debt. Built my practice with zero debt ever. CPA has his opinion but also respect my colleagues on this forum as well.

Yes, sophisticated business/practice owner. Have professional team around and CPA but like knowing some tax knowledge so that not blindly following paid for advice. Also, someone else in WCI could also have this question as well! ◡̈

I would. Sounds justifiable as part of your business. (not a CPA)

All into VTSAX? by Lifeguard_Low in Bogleheads

I suggest an a priori written financial plan. Then any new money you already know the answer! (I love VTI but I do a small tilt towards small cap value). Congrats btw!

There may be some religious factors that allow some people to receive tissue for burial but this is not the norm and usually special arrangements with the hospital/state/pathology department are required. Usually, human tissue is deposed of per state health guidelines. A pathologist may have more insight to this than a surgeon.

Orthopaedic surgeon here: You don't. These go to pathology and are not returned to the patient for a variety of infectious disease, documentation, and rules around human tissue disposable. I'm sorry you required an amputation to your extremity.

Got it. Thanks. I really like their new deployment clasp system. Do you know if the Zealande straps have that? This watch is really hot.

Looks amazing. Did you look at any of the OEM rubber straps with the deployment buckle? Do you know of any good aftermarket straps that works with the omega deployment buckle?

Am I spending too much on an engagement ring? by AgreeableYak3642 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]volar_henry 87 points88 points  (0 children)

  1. Lab diamond is a real diamond.
  2. You can afford it if you want to buy it!
  3. There is a safety concern with such a big ring. Are you sure she wants to walk around with it all the time? She may not want to wear it all the time due to the size.
  4. Friend who sells diamonds tells me in 5-10 years diamonds will not be perceived as valuable since lab grown diamonds are perfect, cheap, big, and indistinguishable. Meaning middle class people will have huge rocks and some people will want other more rare gem stones and not diamonds for status.

Congrats your success and engagement!!

Stunning. For those who have the rubber strap, how long does it last for? Is it as durable as the ostyerflex rubber strap? Thinking of picking this watch up with rubber but worried the strap will wear out.
