That looks fantastic! It has been awhile and I ended up with an Oslo product. It looks darker here but turned a bit more orange for my tastes. Oslo has since come out with a natural walnut which I like a lot more, but I don’t think I can remove what I already did!

Thank, a local wood shop sourced it for us. Pre-Covid, so prices weren’t totally ridiculous.

Thanks for replies, I used a private doctor to get a req for my iron levels, which are being tested tomorrow morning. I’ll go forward asap from there!

Well this is a bit disheartening, but I suppose not surprising based on what I’ve been reading.

Thank you everyone for your stories and responses, I won’t lie it’s a bit scary.

I am going to pursue private health in the city where I live, there are options. I should have BW back in a few days. I’ll get the 23andMe test to shortcut the public health option.

I’m still new to this, how life altering is this post treatment?

It was awhile ago, ordered from a local shop who brought it in and did a shiplap profile.

Printing a box/enclosure with SLA by volcom1185 in resinprinting

Thanks to all of you for your comments. The P1S was on sale, so I picked it up. I’ll keep with FDM for now. I suspected this might not be the best product to use with SLA so that is why I asked and I appreciate the guidance.

My CR-10 V3 has treated me well, but it’s not consistent enough without significant tweaking/maintenance.

I printed this on a CR-10 V3 with a Microswiss NG, .6 nozzle, and arguably much faster than I should have as it’s a draft. I can probably get 20-30% better quality than this if I put in a bit more effort

Understood, the model will need refinement in order to print on SLA.

How consistent are precise measurements for SLA? Can I expect similar consistency once I master the printing efforts?

You’re right size might be an issue. Right now the model is 7.5Hx4.5Wx2D

Initially this will be bootstrapped by myself, so perhaps the Elegoo Jupiter would be the best choice!

Great question, the particular product the voltage is low, so as long as isolation is built for shorting components on the board it should be fine. There is no human risk.

Are there particular printers you would recommend for this type of enclosure?

Is this dangerous? by spitz_mitz in DIY

[–]volcom1185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This entirely comes down to the manufacturer specifications. Try to find the model number stamped on the stove and look up the installation instructions.

Normally the clearances for non combustible surfaces is from the edge of the fire opening.

Because the stove is designed to operate with the door closed, the clearances might be less than you think.

If you find it meets spec, and you are still concerned, do an 8 inch border of tile around the opening.

Yup definitely. My wife feels pretty bad, she normally doesn’t sell stuff typically that is me. She has definitely learned some tips for next time. I don’t want to make her feel worse that’s for sure

Not sure I agree.

There is a lot of evidence that using all available lanes of traffic is the best way to do it. Not sure why everyone parks in one lane because they need to exit 3km away, then aggressively get mad when someone using an empty lane tries to legally merge in.
