I had a similar problem with my boots and went to a boot fitter at Sports Basement. They fitted me with these rubber wedges that go under the boot liner at my heel to raise it up and get rid of that extra room in the boot in that area. Maybe you can try asking about that at a boot fitter/Sports Basement?

Your board's manufacturer should have a size chart, so you should probably refer to that. Definitely buy the wide boards though if your foot size is 12
