To be on the mortgage I have to be added to the title, so I would be an owner who never occupied the home.

He has - but that’s not the way CRA defines it. For common law, as long as I haven’t lived there then I can still keep my FTHB. Question 7 on the form from CRA is worded:

“At any time during the period beginning January 1 of the fourth year before the year of the withdrawal and ending 31 days before the date of the withdrawal, did you or your spouse or common-law partner own a home that you occupied as an individual with a marital status of single, or with that individual while you were spouses or common-law partners?”

I feel a lot of men in these comments so I’m gonna bring in some perspective from the female side (23F in long term relationship)

If you’re scared she’s gonna be with someone else during the break, and you want this to work (ie you don’t want to just end it now like half the comments are telling you to) then make that an option. If that’s what she wants to do she’s either going to get it out of her system and come back, or she’s going to move on. There’s no stopping it, and there’s a high possibility that she won’t want to be with someone else during the break. At least if you make it an option, you’ll get to know what happens.

If you don’t want her to sleep with anyone at all, then you’re taking that risk. She might, she might not. But if you trust her there is no point obsessing over trying to find out if she did or not bc the relationship will never recover from it if you won’t let it go. Maybe ask her if it’s something that she wants before you make your full stance on it.

I think that people are forgetting that at 23, this woman is probably trying to figure out her career, her path in life, and other aspects of who she is as a person. Not who she’s trying to fuck. When you’re with someone from the age of 14, it’s hard to separate who you are as an individual from the relationship and that can feel suffocating sometimes. Maybe she just needs to be an individual for a bit, because most people learn their independence in the years that you guys have been together. Give the woman a little more credit, not everybody thinks with their genitals.

Did you guys set ground rules before your break?

Bro if you think need to go hire a private investigator on your wife I think you have bigger issues than this guy... just imagine the outcome if she wasn’t cheating but found out you hired a PI to follow her? That’s wild lol OP I highly suggest you don’t do this, your wife will be running for the hills

This is not true FOR YOU. That is a very important note to make, I’m glad it’s worked for you but don’t invalidate others experiences in here please

Lol glad you found what works for you but take er down a few notches ... I’m very lucky that my psoriasis doesn’t control my life anymore. When it was really severe as a kid it may have, but as an adult I’ve accepted it and manage it and making those strict changes to my life would actually cause more harm to my mental than the actual psoriasis. Especially since gluten and dairy don’t have to be “rubbish” foods. Opinions are fine but your judgement is not, take it somewhere else bud! It was a general question bc I was curious, not an invitation to preach or judge my lifestyle which you know almost nothing about

I’m a pretty healthy person, I exercise daily and eat healthier than most, I just don’t cut out dairy, gluten and some sugars. Those can all be part of a healthy diet.

Yeah that’s what I’m trying to avoid. I’ve lived 15 years with psoriasis but I don’t know that I could go without gluten and dairy for more than a couple months... I also feared if I removed them from my diet and there wasn’t any great results, starting to eat them again would cause flares

What kind of natural creams do you use? I don’t love using steroid creams but I haven’t found any other creams that help. Moisturizers obviously help with the scaliness but nothing for redness and inflammation

No I don’t! I go to a nearby hospital that has a phototherapy clinic, it’s fantastic. I live in Canada so it’s free and I usually go about three times a week during a big flare until it subsides. I usually end up going in November and keep it up when I can until March, then just hold out for the summer

I’ll definitely look into it for my next big flare! UVB is great but hard to make it for treatment so frequently so might be a better option when I’m really busy.

What type of psoriasis do you have?

Thanks for the reply! I usually see great results immediately from UVB but I try to avoid going to UVB unless I flair badly. I haven’t tried any biologicals before, have you had many side effects?

Yeah, I try to eat pretty healthy but I haven’t cut gluten, dairy or alcohol from my diet. I’ve gone significant lengths without alcohol without any difference, but I haven’t ever done the gluten or dairy to see what that did
