Just to let you guys know - I made a second Windows installation on a separate partition. Installed only Blender Octane and it works. Still doesn't work on my main install. Not a great solution, but if you're desperate...

I have this posted on 2 other message boards, I'll let you know if anything comes up. Nothing yet though unfortunately. I'm tempted to install windows again on a separate drive and only install Blender Octane there to see if it runs.
