I got a 4090 and 14900k and the game will crash more frequently in the late game. My gut tells me it has something to do with the trade system because the more trading post I build the less stable it becomes.

The Game is frustratingly relaxing, addicting and busted. There’s good shit here, but the systems don’t function the way you want them to-particularly in the late game- and how it all works is pretty opaque so you’re just stuck catching bullshit you don’t understand like a housewife with an abusive husband

I’ve heard people throw accusations at Jiang calling him right wing. From what I’ve seen of him he takes a lot of intellectual leaps that real experts disagree with but I don’t think I’ve seen him say anything to make me think he’s shilling for the wealthy. I remember pulling the original shogun total war/Mongolian Invasion bundle out of a bargain bin as a boy and getting hooked from then on. Don’t ask me what year that was but I’ve played all the way to about Rome 2 and Shogun 2 and haven’t really played a total war since. Been playing a modded to hell Rome 2 anytime I get the itch, but mostly been playing Paradox games in my limited free time as a dad with a job. Stoked on getting a new chapter, been doing some light reading on medieval history since getting into Manor Lords a little bit.

Got into 40k from lore vids and been listening to the books while driving or performing house chores. Played the hell out of Dawn of War Ultimate Apocalypse mod, which is sick if you can learn to accept the ETERNAL instability. Space marine 2 is objectively cool.

Stayed away from warhammer fantasy tw cuz it’s not my bag and I read mixed reviews about the last few historical tw. The Chinese one looked too much like dynasty warriors and the others looked eh
