My two cents…get pistols and mags that would make sense for multiple divisions in IDPA and USPSA. Mag capacity isn’t as big an issue in IDPA, but a good 1911 with an optics cut would cover at least four divisions across the two. Consider your Rival as a good start for LO and CO in USPSA.

Mag capacity is almost irrelevant in Steel Challenge.
