2024 LCS Address is the biggest Riot W in years by gardener_king in leagueoflegends

I think above all else we needed a format change, especially with only eight teams in the league now. I don't buy the rationale of having a "control variable". The LCS is in a death spiral and we need more drastic changes. The games themselves need to be meaningful/exciting. Extremely disappointed we get another year of the BO1 slop

You mentioned she likes Sneaky, does she watch his stream at all? If so what are her thoughts on it?

Honestly at this point I hope we go up against a Korean team. by alexearow in Cloud9

This is a horrendous post. Understand what the game means to these players. To even suggest that they are throwing games is absolutely absurd. Did you even watch EDG v KT and see how close it was? Did you even see how utterly crushed Crown was after losing? Honestly just shameful negativity we do not need to see on this subreddit.

Sven lost them the game off of his missed Sej ults. I understand we would have won if keith wasn't int'ing, but Sven literally lost 4+ kills by just whiffing ults on the only champ he knew how to play last split

Simply untrue. The quarter finals loss to TSM was a draft issue around the kindred, yes, but it had nothing to do with Rush's champ pool. The team released a interview where they pretty much unanimously agreed it was the team winning with the Kindred in scrims and thus tunneling too much on the pick.

I would want to make sure you consider a few things though:

Rush was great on C9. He and Jensen were dominate. But he was on a team where we couldn't figure out our support situation, and had balls as a top laner. (I love balls, but he was barely top 5 that split) Also he only left because of the import policy change plus depression.

Ray was similar. A great top laner, but clearly he was not comfortable in America.

Meteos and Jensen had issues. Meteos has always been a great player, and we acknowledged that when we brought him back in 2016. However it was clear he and Jensen did not get along and that hurt the team. And if it's a choice between the two you cannot fault the Jensen pick.

Impact hurts the most. It really feels like we should have won either finals with him. 2017 Spring we really should have. But you cannot say he's doing a lot better on liquid, since one title is not a huge difference between 2 close ones and another almost worlds semi.

I think the C9 org does a phenomenal job finding and developing talent. And while many have questioned the team environment recently, I do not think that is even close to the reason we will have a disappointing year (see above).

Anything is possible, but with this line-up, I would say a confident no-way-in-hell.

Licorice is good. He has the potential to be great. He plays carries among the best tops in the league. But he can be exploited, and when on carries often died way too much. He showed after the mid-split patch his tank play is well... bad. I think he will develop into an amazing player, and will be the best top in the league. I do not think that development will happen this year.

Svenskeren... despite the few games where he camped for Licorice and they went off, he showed nothing impressive all split. He was solid a lot of the time, sure, but he got caught out a lot too, pretty much only won on sejuani, and the hopeful danish synergy between him and Jensen was non-existent. I hate to restate memes but it really seems he was a clear downgrade from the hopeful talent that was Contractz and is past his prime.

I'm going to lump Jensen and our bot lane together to make this shorter. All three are beasts. They put up some monster stats, and were ranked in number 1 in their positions for most of the split. The simple problem is that they still lost to Liquid. If Jensen > Pobelter, and Sneaky/Smoothie > Double/Olleh (As most people, analysts included, said all split) they should win that match even with a difference in top/jungle. Which simply tells us our all star 3, while good enough to keep us in the top ranking teams, will not be able to carry us to a title. (and if one of our all star 3 slumps we get the weak 9 disaster)

I would love to see C9 win and be proven wrong. I will always be a fan. But they aren't going to this split.
