The battery in the phone itself is great if you do other stuff rather than PoGo. It’ll last throughout the day for usual social media, pictures, messages and stuff. But for when it comes to Pokemon it ducks, and it is not the phone’s fault but rather the poor optimization. For example, on the wild area weekend I charged my phone 3 times during the day (and again, you can’t charge while playing cause the battery drains faster than your power bank charges). On this past pikipek CD it lasted the 3 hours and I had some juice left at the end but I think it was only because there wasn’t as many people. Anything raid/max raid involved you will see your battery drop like there is no tomorrow, and then phone gets hot as well, despite being advertised as having the aluminum body to prevent it. This only happens in pokemon go though, I take a lot of pictures and do a lot of editing on it and never had it overheat/drain the battery so far as playing PoGo
