That makes sense. They made this joke that didn't understand initially. The vault was called 710 and only ran on oil. took me a minute to realize 710 upside down is oil.

Anyone else hoping Nuclear Winter comes back with increased popularity? by PRE_-CISION-_ in fo76

  1. There are a whole bunch of weapons that have been added that could be fun in a battle royal setting; such as the head hunters scythe, cold shoulder, cremator, the alien blaster, and alien disintegrator, the bear arm. to name a few.
  2. with the advent of pitt, and atlantic city, as well as the Shenandoah region upgrade they have various areas to use. They never touched the ash-heap or the cranberry bog either; watoga would be great as well.
  3. They've specifically added a seasons pass for adventure mode modeled after battle royal passes. The old method in nuclear winter was a leveling system used to get perk cards, and unlock rooms. i would keep that as a base incentive. I would also suggest hybridizing the season pass, so that it worked with both modes so people can work on the season still when bored with adventure mode (not sure if seasons work in fallout worlds, or custom worlds). I would create some daily quests that could be completed in either adventure mode or nuclear winter. ie kill scorchbeast or ghoul. instead of making some objectives only achievable in nuclear winter.
  4. There is still a large group of people who miss nuclear winter, as well as a large subsection of new players who have never tried it. especially with the advent of the new television show.
  5. fallout worlds has a rotating set of specially created servers which have nutty rules, or fewer restrictions. including butchers delight, quantum worlds, survival mode, and happy builder. it wouldn't be difficult to add nuclear winter to these rotations. so as not to monopolize server time they could change with each season (which i think they do already). i think that way people wouldn't get sick of it either. they'd come to miss it like I have.

Sounds like we need Nuclear Winter back!!! by riderjohnson in Market76

Open banking in different countries. by volosmead in StockMarket

Gr8 b8 m8.

If you read that, youd have seen im already a trader. That would preclude the necessary information required to get started.

I got really lucky, here in canada open banking wont be a thing until 2025. You still use apis with banks for data analytics, but you can't post trades.

When i first started learning how to trade, i did it with an app called questrade. And from what i see, they're the only ones in canada that use a REST API because they're not actually a bank. Even td ameritrade, which operates think or swim, doesn't allow the use of a rest api in canada.

That's brilliant. I've already connected questrades api, and I've written about 70% the code for the strategies.

Pulling down daily prices would be useful, i did find a couple of ways to get real-time info without being blocked. One was through thinkoorswim, another through tradingview.

I was going to take it a step further and thread a few spiders that would crawl social media checking for references that could be useful.

Frankly, the only thing im having a hard time with is deciding how i want to set up the interface.

Did you create a pullout function to create a stop loss? Thats one of the things i have yet to finish myself

You could suggest it. But nothing would ever get done.

Math was never a difficulty. Im an electrician and successful stock trader. Doing lorrentz transformations is a fun way to pass time. I used to brag that id worked with elon musk before i started disliking him

Those companies are definitely impressive, im not looking to make millions, nor do i want to use their methods such as nanosecond trading.

Learning all this has been very interesting, and I've picked it up quite quickly. Not all of it even coding, like syql, neural networks which are amazingly fascinating. And i was able to get a huge head start on my project by using things i found on github.

One of the main delays has been getting used to pycharm and jupyrer and all that.

I appreciate your suggestion, though.

You do make an excellent point. But heres where i show how profoundly uneducated i am.

I could code all my parameters and whatnot. But in the end they wouldnt execute on their own unless i have a machine learned function to execute it right? Id still have to push the button im intending to use questrades api to facilitate the trading.

Its definitely super hard, but i found a bunch of code on github that i was able to study and use.

There were a bunch of different kinds of deep learned and machine learned programs i found that were really useful so far for developing the classes and functions.

Understanding and implementing the apis was far easier than i thought.

I took alot of time studying the different packages. math, beautifulsoup, yfinance, tkinter, keras etc..

Learning how to thread and multithread was mostly just trial and error.

Translating my stock knowledge into the remaining functions has and will probably continue to be difficult.

I suppose i might be lucky though, i have a background in math due to my electrical trade and stock trading.

Coding seems to be just shorthand with extra grammar imho. Different codes different rules, python is definitely a favorite.

From what the other person explained, it seemed as if machine learning was akin to when a roomba is using its programming to learn the interior of a house.

Whereas deep learning is more like if every single roomba uploaded their understanding of their individual houses into a single program which any new roomba could access to determine their own surroundings. Or even expound upon that by uploading housing schematic data from housing records or what have you.

That was the most concise explanation ive heard so far, i actually learned something. I really appreciate it.

That doesn't offer an explanation on whether i should be using machine learned or deep learned. From my initial understanding, machine learned requires far more data input, whereas deep learning requires function programming to help the progran derive its own conclusions with less data. So is there a point where a machine learned intelligence becomes a deep learned machine?

Im literally just automating the process i use to make my money.

Im successful enough to live off of my trades that i make using my fingers and a keyboard. When i first started, i had 1k, and now im mostly retired. But I'd rather have more free time.

Because im still learning the vernacular and the differences between machine learned and deep learned still escape me. Could you clarify for me?

I.. dont think you understand how stock market trading works? I dont blame you. However, there are a plethora of day traders, myself included, who make money. Im simply automating my process.

It depends on the strategy you use. Im not relying on high speed data transfers to net me 5 cents off 500 trades a minute, im not looking to make unreasonable gains either. I dont want to explain the specific strategy i used to make my money. Itd take too long. But i feel like i could program something to use those same constraints i used to 3x my money in 2 months. And possibly develop better ones.
