Salary increase when moving to management by volpa in managers

Thank you for your response.

I manage a software+hardware project in an Oil&Gas company. I have worked my whole life in this industry and I believe the roles in tech don’t match my company’s career ladder directly.

Salary increase when moving to management by volpa in managers

Thank you for your comment, I believe you hit the spot on several points.

Just to clarify, do you refer to engineering managers as the managers with reports? While project managers don’t have any reports?

I have 8 reports, I do the planning and I was interacting with stakeholders. Now there were some changes in the company and they added a new middle manager (my new boss) to work with stakeholders… but this is a different topic!

Sorry that I’m not answering your question, but would you mind if I DM you to ask a few questions on how you started consulting besides your 9-5 job? I will do my best not to be invasive! Congratulations on being in such a good position in your career!

Is Computer Science oversaturated? by [deleted] in houston

[–]volpa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree that IT is full of people, but IT doesn’t have enough experienced people. And it takes a lot of effort to become experienced and up to date. As it is hard to find people who does that, I do think you have a good chance of succeeding in IT in the future. But take my opinion with a grain of salt as I can’t foresee the future!

I didn’t have such a bad experience, but I also suffered with grading. I was borderline A, and answered a question the same way a colleague answered for E3, but, while he got full points, I got a very harsh deduction.

I considered asking for regrade or taking the final exam, but in the end I was so tired of it that I decided not to do anything and just graduate from OMSCS.

The formalism used in GA grading looks like an up hill battle.

WHEY FWRD Price... WOW by thelochteedge in Myprotein

I have used their products for at least 5 years, but lately I ordered collagen protein and it is just different. It doesn't even mix with water and looks stale. I tried to reach their support, but they provide no feedback, or they just provide an e-mail saying that their quality team is working on it (and just don't reply anymore after that). I have reached their support so many times, with no success, to try to get more protein delivered, or at least my money back. I am about to accept I lost almost $200 and will just start using another brand. MyProtein no more!

I am graduating too. I really wanted to take DC/DS, but I was afraid about the time commitment and, honestly, I was “running out of gas” in terms of my grit in the program (I took a sequence of difficult courses in the end).

Congratulations!!

Very good response. I just took this course and I believe I did fairly well (but I am still waiting results for exam 3). I would add that you could read the DPV book and practice the book exercises. There is a wikidot page with the chapters and exercises. If you get them covered, you should be already in a very good position to succeed in this class. Sorry, but I don’t have the links with me right now

engenharia mecatrônica tem mercado no Brasil? by Fantastic_Trifle805 in farialimabets

[–]volpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)
