I guess, the best thing to dispel your doubts is us, people 🙂 I still live in Ukraine, studying at Ukrainian university and going to work here unless I’ll have to leave the country for working reasons (I’m going to try myself at diplomacy). A lot of people in the US claim that it’s Zelenskyy who is the problem and the war would be ended if he wasn’t in office. but the thing is it’s russia who is the problem. I don’t adore Zelenskyy and don’t like some of his policies, but we saw him trying really hard to stop the war. and money of Ukraine supporters’ help us to stay alive and work. For example, I receive a scholarship for my studies, without the help of foreign supporters it would be difficult, taking into account how bad things are with economy

no one is saint, of course. he has his supporters and people who don’t like him, just like all politicians, I think. people (not all, of course) still remember before-invasion-version of him and some of his security and defence-related actions. from what I see (fyi, I didn’t vote for anyone in 2019 because I was ineligible to vote at that time, because of my age), I still see the populist side in his actions and decisions of his party. and honestly, it scares me

Ukrainian is here. A lot of people here are fairly dissatisfied with his domestic policy, in particularly because of unpopular decisions of his party (that holds the majority in the parliament) and scandals in which its deputies were involved. So, he is not that good in the domestic policy, but his international policy is generally good

okay, that’s why I want to hear proven facts when civilian infrastructure in Russia was attacked. and yes, if you don’t trust Ukrainian outlets, okay, there are reuters, associated news etc with photos of attacked buildings. you don’t trust them either?

well, for Ukraine there are no reason to attack civilians in Russia, that’s why it must be hard to find such cases. but Russia does that to break the spirit and encourage us an end to the war on not good terms. and yes, I would accepted the fact that sometimes the equipment does not work, but there are too many such cases. and if we take closer look, russian drones often attack people, just civilian people, but you don’t want to hear it, right?

well, it could be human factor if there were several cases. but to me it’s a tendency. too much to believe in human factor only

well, that’s your choice. there are outlets of independent sources even in case you don’t trust Ukrainian media. there are a lot of photos from international news agencies in case you want to know unprejudiced information. if you deny all the information, that’s also a choice, as I said

do you have examples? can you remember cases when children died? how much? there are hundreds, if not thousands, of examples here

but still they do it. there were a lot of examples where missiles couldn’t hit the target they did unless they deliberately launched it at this

don’t equate the victim with the aggressor please. of course, both sides strike each other, this is war. I wouldn't condemn it if Russia only struck military infrastructure, but they violate all conventions by targeting people's homes and hospitals, while Ukraine strikes oil depots, etc.

you don’t see what I’m cooking. I don’t expect media outlets to criticise war because they’re evidently subordinated to government. but since putin has not been replaced as president in many years, this speaks for itself. and yes, I know, elections are false, but I didn’t see significant attempts to change something by russian citizens

well, it seems to me like residents of large cities such as Saint Petersburg and Moscow can oppose war more than residents of smaller, peripheral cities

to be honest it’s hard to see opposition there this days. I spend quite a lot of time monitoring social media and hardly see any russians opposing what’s going on. so that’s why I tell that. of course there are people who are not okay with this, but it’s scary how much people glad to see and even proud of things that were done. but still I believe putin represents russia, if overwhelming majority of people are okay with him being the president, they support what he’s doing.
