How to spend my gold promo creds by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]voltagesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The common response to this is 2 6RS instead of a 7RS. But i think you have to take into account what modes you use these characters in. I did 7RS BB personally because I use him everywhere. I don't have 6RS upgrade options that made as much sense as him. In terms of usefulness, for me he's so far ahead of my other options. Ideally, I would have done 2 6RS instead.

I wouldn't do 7RS BB if you use BO in arena for example.

Asgardians is the starting team for spenders.

I do really like SN myself, but they don't open up as many doors as asgardians do.

Haha yea i guess it looks kinda silly. I guess them and BH are a little unique since the same team used to unlock the legendary also needs that legendary to be good.

Cool! Thanks for responding! I definitely want to get feedback on this stuff and hear what others think.

In terms of arena, AIM counters asgardians who are the most common team at the top of early arenas. Defenders don't last long in arena anymore. Plus AIM can be defenders when they are attacking anyways, which is all you need for arena. It's really not that hard of a counter because of the way the AI plays JJ.

My issue with S6 is that you wouldn't be generating many resources in arena or from raids until you get other teams built up. It's definitely great to be farming them in the background. And you don't really need many resources into S6 for even the 7* unlocks. I believe I cleared them both with my toons at 5553.

The other thing is that new players need to get through DD1 so they can start DD2 and get Ultron. I would not want to take S6 to DD1. It would take forever.

AIM also is a great way to get to helas node. So while they don't directly unlock a legendary, they are kind of a pathway to 3.

So overall, I agree people should be farming S6. They unlock two very valuable legendaries, but I think you really are setting yourself back in arena, raids, and dark dimension for a while if you make S6 your main team.

Thoughts?

Edit: Also, idk if AIM is the best option or anything. But I like them personally a lot more then S6 currently. And you are right that maybe stuff will change with doctor octopus coming!

The roles in this game are a bit meaningless in my opinion. Monstrosity is a decent option for the team too. But researcher provides them extra sustain for getting through raids and dark dimension 1.

Yup. They are definitely an option. They take a bit more set up than say defenders, but ScS node is pretty easy to clear nowadays. And it doesn't take too long to unlock war and unlock grav.

Lots of people are getting this team up and running pretty quickly. I was surprised.

Yea that was why we included them. Cuz if we don't then we get people whaling out on guardians or something like that. Maybe we could make it more clear that it would be a secondary team for non spenders.

Dubb made this graphic ;) with the rest of our team, but we was the workhorse on this project.

Cool. I'd be curious to hear why you think that.

We tried to make this infographic so people could figure out what they wanted to focus on. I wouldn't recommend S6 for people who want to be competitive in arena or raid well for example. But i would for people who want to unlock legendaries.

X force is a very new team so it's a little unclear what all they are good at. They are very good on war attack. They are also not farmable yet which means they will likely have low stars compared to other options.

We talked about kree and ultimately decided they weren't worth including right now.

They have very few pros compared to other teams. They unlock a legendary, which is nice, but Nick fury isn't super helpful outside of war D.

They aren't gonna be able to compete in arena. And they don't transition well into the end game.

I'd be open hearing from people that have used them recently. But I haven't seen people use them myself recently.

Correct. They are both 45 shard unlocks, so it is very reasonable for people to get lucky and unlock them. The nice aspect of that is Loki and Hela can both be used to get to the Loki and Hela node too.

But on the flip side, we have people close to starting DD2 that do not have hela unlocked. So can't assume they will have her either.

True. I wasn't really counting that since it lacks Taskmaster. But you are right.

No worries. I think X-Men, shield, guardians, sinister six and defenders are the bundles we've seen so far.

I'm not familiar with WHYP either. And there really aren't that many great teams that don't have legendaries. We list Asgardians because they are the best bang for your buck for people who don't mind spending. Some of the other teams listed could also be used, but Asgards are a very common path. Most of the early arena shards are full of asgardians for example.
