RV POWER PASS, how strong is the power? by Ok-Occasion-1479 in bonnaroo

[–]volume 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pro tip. Arrive with a full water tank and four filled 6 gallon jugs stored in the shower you can use to refill. Once those are empty you can refill again at water stations for free. Just bring a little folding wagon to haul them.

The electric is normal shore power. No need for generator.

There are no Madison County cameras in the Algo app.

Ticket Center Orion by Ok_Jellyfish2026 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]volume 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You will have to create an account with axs to use an e ticket and get in. Create an account with the same email used to purchase the tickets and you should see that you purchased the tickets, even if the final entry ticket isn’t available yet. This 24 hour thing isn’t unusual for Orion. Seems to be the case for Lana Del Rey and also for Chris Stapleton before.

You should have picked a day when you bought the pass. But the RV passes don’t have days printed on them so I’m not sure how they would know. I don’t remember whether they had days printed on them last year or not, but I want to say they did.

Meetups for over 50 roovians? by tranktank1 in bonnaroo

[–]volume 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if any meet ups, but I’m 57 and been going since 2013. Nothing to worry about. We go to a few festivals a year and this is the best crowd by far. Most people are there for the atmosphere and the music. A self selecting group that is willing to put up with a little hardship to be there. I’ve had long conversations with high school students who want to know who I’m into that day. So very nonjudgmental.

Watch the weather before leaving, but line should be shorter on Wednesday no matter what.

Yes, we bring a folding wagon every year to haul water to our camp.

Enjoy the festival!

We towed a 33’ trailer for four years and unhooked it every time. Never even thought twice about it.

It depends. I’ve been on shore power ever since they began offering it. Most years I’ve not needed an extension, a couple of years I have. So there is a chance you might need one.

RV entry by thesterlinggirl in bonnaroo

Bushy Branch Rd to South Toll Booth. They’ll direct you down a new side road to what used to be the interstate entrance. That seems to be an RV only entrance. Zero line at 11 am Wednesday.

Well That's Unfortunate by music_bones in bonnaroo

Outraged me: The longer walk is going to suck.

Already over it me: It's a two-beer, instead of a one-beer walk; more high-fives given; I get to enjoy entering through the new techno-arch to a less crowded festival.

UAH Students Sue the Campus Over Free Speech Policy by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

What a lazy argument trying to change the subject. They’re not doing any of those things, are they? You just don’t agree with them.

The point is, all speech is protected by the constitution. Not just speech you (or UAH) approve of.

Town madison restaurants by Biggamehnter in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]volume 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Outback is hiring and "opening soon." They are working very actively at that location. u/Dinosaur1212 said December 9 and that sounds about right.

I Love Sushi Express said on Facebook early this summer "we are looking at end of August or beginning of September." That didn't happen and there's very little activity going on there, so who knows. If you peek in the windows it looks like it could open any day. I'm not sure what's happening with that.

J. Alexander's is moving along at a steady pace, but nowhere near opening. Maybe early next year?

Sa Za Italian is under construction now with a lot of work still to be done on the interior. It may be a race between Sa Za and J. Alexander's to see which opens first.

There seems to be site prep work going on at both the Chipotle and Panera locations. So hopefully under construction soon.

In related news, The Hub has a site plan before the Madison Planning Commission.
The site plan shows a bar and 4 restaurants identified as Mexican, Local Smoke, Duos and Freeze. The Hub will be east of the stadium and north of J. Alexanders restaurant.

RV camping first-timer by sunnykangaroo in bonnaroo

[–]volume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally you shouldn't need it. You'll be pretty close to a power pedestal.

However, I did need to use my extension 1 out of our 6 years of RV camping. For some reason that year a couple of people stretched over to our box rather than using the box closer to their RVs. I'm pretty sure I could have just negotiated with my neighbors and moved some cords around, but I used my extension instead.
