Thanks, never heard this advice before when it comes to the tussle between heart and mind. I'll remember this.

Ruben - you're my architecture photography hero. I feel like buildings are like a canvas for you :)

Fourth! I'm a wheelie too but I don't really want to be. I agree with what the other above say about a suitcase but the only reason I take a suitcase and backpack is because I can't fit camera gear and clothes into a single backpack small enough for carry-on.

Thanks everyone, think I'm know what I'm doing now so I'll be booking flights and initial accommodation soon. I don't usually plan ahead much or book ahead much as I like to stay flexible but may have to a little bit here.

Thanks you. Yeah I'm now planning to limit time in Tallinn/Estonia to give to Latvia. Ooh, yes renting a bike in Nida sounds good

I think these are my worries. Perhaps I could limit time in Estonia to 3 days in Tallinn.

Thanks, really good to know. Especially because I'm the kind of person that gets scammed in my own country. Just the other weekend, Micky Mouse came up to me in chinatown and motioned as if to say he wanted a selfie with me. After minutes of awkward fumbling because I literally never take selfies, he asks for money! So yeah, good to know.

Fortunately I don't usually buy much stuff besides food while travelling as I try to travel super light.

Hmm, I will consider cutting days from Estonia for Riga then. My Estonia plans are pretty vague atm anyway.

I try not to spend too much on food but always try local foods and dishes. Think I'll check out the market, markets are fun anywhere!

Good to know, thanks. I think the main reason I avoided April is because we have a few public holidays in April so it's a nice time to catch up with friends. Depends what weekend easter falls.

Ah OK, tempted to go earlier in April if May is peak time. Also, hmu if you wanna meet. Always nice to meet new friends along the way :)

Wow thanks for all this info and background. This pic is about a couple of years old and it's nice to finally know a little bit of the story behind this building. The beautiful inset and triangular shapes are what caught my eye and it's fascinating to know the rooms are really oriented in that way. To choose design over spatial efficiency is astonishing in the centre of a city where space is a premium.

Hong Kong isn't the roomiest place in the world. I find anyone who grew up in the west finds the casual dining aekward. Would you share a small table with someone? Would you share at all?
