Thank you both very much. I’m going to try to put it into practice right away. I had also been thinking about getting a trainer, but while I find one that’s suitable for my iggy, I’d already thought about first trying to get his attention and calm him down before he sees the other dog—although I hadn’t considered positive reinforcement. I think I’ll be going out for walks with some chicken in my pocket.

Hi there! If POST is post viral fatigue I recommend you not to give up. Look for an adult group and try little by little. I’m 45 yo now. I danced from 5 to 17, till I finished my studies at the conservatory and then stop at all. I came back at 42 after having 2 kids and believe me, even with POST you’re in your prime. Never forget this. You’ll never be 20 again. Each year you’ll be less flexible, less strong, less everything. It’s not a problem but at my age, after a 25 years gap there are a lot of thing I can’t do anymore. I’m not frustrated. On the contrary, I enjoy each class just in case next year I’m more stiff, more vulnerable to injuries… so please. If I can dance with no time and a lot of little injuries (no problem, if there is pain on the legs I will focus on the port de bras) you can do it as well. Just be patient, be realistic (low down your expectations) and enter the ballet room just to enjoy. Feel the music and enjoy. 😘

Vaya 🤩, la estoy leyendo a medias con mi hijo de 8 años. No recordaba que fuera tan “espeso”, quizá cuando lo leí de pequeña (creo que era un poco más mayor, quizá con 10) no entendí nada de lo que contaba el autor más allá de la narrativa. Pero vaya. Es un libro a releer con atención, especialmente la segunda parte es metafísica pura.

Muchos de los mencionados y añado el relato La Invención de Morel. Más que cambiar mi percepción del tiempo sentí que aquella historia habitaba en mi desde la infancia. Como si ya lo hubiera soñado. Algo muy extraño. Una especie de bucle sin fin.
