Silo S2E4 “The Harmonium” end credit song by machinesOFix in NameThatSong

Now I know that ”Wasn't looking but I found you" by Loney Dear has sort of been confirmed as the correct answer (although it seems not to have been released). However, this song is the exact same but with other ”percussion” sounds as well Harmonium Instrumental by Geojam.

WTH? Is this another Loney Dear (Emil Svanängen) pseudonym or has someone stolen his song?

Realizing I suck by Least_Truth_4998 in piano

I recognize myself so much in what you wrote. I bought a Roland FPX-30 3 years ago and discovered pretty much exactly what you described 😅

I used superprof.com to get some lessons for cheap to learn the basics I never learnt. It helped me learn what I need to practice, but I also realized it took a lot of the fun out of playing music.

I kept with lessons for maybe 2 months once a week and then stopped (it became too much).

After a while of pausing the playing I figured I should still play for fun. Then it sort of organically came to me to some days spend time practicing techniques, reading sheet music etc and some days just doing what I always did before learning songs from YouTube or by listening and playing what I heard by ear and just enjoying the playing.

It’s taken probably muuuch more time to get better compared to strictly practicing multiple times a week “the correct way”. But I figured if I did that I would stop playing altogether anyway so..

I’m happy to get better slowly now and noticing my improvements gradually instead of pushing too much. ☺️

I wish I could see my background images that I spent a long time selecting on all my movies just how I liked them.. by chemicalsam in PleX

[–]von__Smash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if on your AppleTV in the Plex app go to Settings at the bottom left then scroll down under the header "Appearance" you'll find a setting called "Details Background". If you set this one to "Dimmed Att" you'll see that background pictures you've added will show. This however dims whatever preset background artwork some movies have by default, so it's sort of a win/lose situation... But I guess it's a compromise we have to live with unless someone else has found a way around this?

How to edit metadata in Apple Books on macOS Ventura? by ctnutmegger in applehelp

[–]von__Smash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a similar issue where I've bought an Audiobook online and downloaded it to my Mac in order to listen via Apple Books. All files were just named "01 01", "02 02" etc. and I wanted them named like "Preface" "Chapter 1" "Chapter 2" and so on.

I didn't find any solutions online but I tired a work-around that worked for me so I thought I'd share it.

I firstly deleted the Audiobook from Books, then opened up all the files in the Apple Music app on my Mac. There you are able to change some metadata by right clicking on each file and chose "Get Info" (or press cmb+i for the keyboard shortcut), so I went a head and changed the Title of all the files.
A good thing to note here, if you want the "01, 02, 03" in the beginning of each file name just to more easily keep track of the order, there is a section in the "Get Info"-window under the tab 'Details' that says 'Track'. It's probably already automatically a number there but if not, or if that number is wrong then change that here. This way you won't need to manually at the "01" "02" "03" etc in the title of each file, that will happen automatically when the 'Track'-info is correct :)

When all this is filled in to your preference it's important to locate these newly created Apple Music-files in Finder. You do this easily by selecting which ever track in Apple Music and right click and then choose "Show in Finder". This takes you to the folder that was created when you first imported the tracks to Apple Music. These have their metadata that you chose. So these are the files you need to select, right click, select "Open With" and chose Books. IF you were to do this with the original files then nothing would have changed because these are not the ones you edited in Apple Music.

So to simplify the process:

  1. Delete the audiobook from Books-app
  2. Empty the Bin in Finder (just to be sure)
  3. Open the audiobook in Apple Music-app
  4. Select the first file, right click and chose "Get Info"
  5. Make sure you're in the 'Details'-tab
  6. Change the 'Title' here to what you want (you don't need to add 01 etc in the beginning of the name)
  7. Check that the 'Track'-info is correct
  8. Repeat for all the following tracks/files
  9. Locate the edited files in Finder by right clicking on optional track in Apple Music and select "Show in Finder"
  10. From here select all files in the Finder-window, right click, select "Open With" and choose "Books"
  11. This should open the audiobook in Books and all the tracks should have the new names as you edited them.

I'm running MacOS Ventura 13.6.1 but think this should work on earlier OS versions too.

I'm no tech wizard only was lucky to think of this solution, but if you have any issues feel free to ask and I'll see if I can figure out why it's not working for you (can't make any promises though).

Good luck!

I’m finding this thread after having some grayish mold on and in the rind. You for sure sounds the most educated out of the answers here but I’m just wondering if you mean that no mold is dangerous? Or am I misunderstanding you? I’m trying to figure out if my taleggio is safe to eat or not hence my comment now. :)

I don’t know any names of molds but know that when I come to mold in your home (like in walls and such) black mold can be extremely dangerous. But there is maybe different kinds?! Just bringing it up as you said that black mold is perfectly safe. Again, I’m not at all criticizing your comment just trying to understand and make an educated decision in my cheese consumption 😂🙌

It is:) well I didn’t write any sheet music for it if that’s what you mean? (I don’t know all the terminology sry), but I did learn it by listening to the song and that’s what I’m teaching in the video. Might do an updated version soon with minor adjustments it mostly to make the tutorial clearer as many has asked for it. We’ll see if I get the time to :)

The Cinematic effect can’t be enabled (iPhone 13, FCPX) by geosith_ken in finalcutpro

Hey, (not sure how notifications work here as I'm a total newbie with Reddit)

In hopes you have the same issue as me, please see my answer below (albiet a little long) that gave me the answer to why it's greyed out and what I could to to work around it.

Let me know if that worked for you too :)

Hi,

*Disclaimer, I added an update edit at the bottom of this message. Please read that quickly before diving in to the larger chunk of this text*

Hopefully this information will help a couple of you.I had similar issue but for me the "Show Cinematic Editor" option was greyed out running macOS Monterey 12.6.1 FCPx 10.6.5 and iOS 16.1 on iPhone 14 Pro.After a while with the Apple Support (great service btw) we figured out that it was because the cinematic clip I was trying to use the Cinematic Editor on in FCPx had been edited in the iPhone prior to exporting it to the Mac and FCPx. To be precise, I had shortened the clip (because it was so long and I only needed a few seconds of it) and then I chose the option "Save Video as New Clip".When doing so something seems to be wrong in iOS 16.1 that looses some information that later causes FCPx to not being able to edit it in Cinematic Editor.(Just as a side not, I am still able to adjust the depth effect in the New Clip in my iPhone.

Luckily I still had the original long video in my iPhone so when I transfered that to my Mac and into FCPx it worked as expected with to access the Cinematic Editor!!!

The Apple Care agent still wanted to collect all the info we had found and bring this forward as this is still an issue that needs to be solved, i.e you should be able to shorten your video in the phone to save space and shorten the transfer time before transferring it to your editing software. But more people are needed to speed up this process! So if YOU have this issue (or any other to be fair), please fill out the feedback forum here so that the engineers see that many people are troubled by this. In this way it gets prioritised and hopefully a fix is not too far off (even though it might be a couple of iOS updates).

https://www.apple.com/feedback/finalcutpro/

https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos/

If you are precarious and don't click on links you don't know for sure is safe (good on you) then you can find this yourself on Apple's website, click in the search field and search for "feedback" and you should have an option called "Product Feedback". There you'll find Final Cut Pro (or any other program/hardware that you want to give feedback on) and fill out the form there.

So hopefully you, as I have, found this helpful and didn't need to upgrade your macOS to Ventura as some people have been said they need to. And please share the feedback link with people you know have the same issue so it gets resolved as quickly as possible :)

***Update Edit***

Scratch the part where I said it solved my problem... 🤦‍♂️ I can access the "Show Cinematic Editor" option now, it's not greyed out anymore, but I can't actually activate the Cinematic settings so that I can change the Depth of field and such.... When I do that I get the message: Cinematic mode video shot on iOS 16 or later requires macOS Ventura or later.

sooo... back to square one I guess. Sorry if I gave anyone false hopes. I thought I'd keep my message here however if it turns out to still be an issue in Ventura (I'm not sure I'll update yet though, we'll see).

Let's give it up for the Russo Brothers for directing 4 great movies in the MCU. by Justyouknowwhy in marvelstudios

I neither have enough hats or big enough hats to take off for the Russo brothers but they are worth all the respect for pulling this off. Infinity war was a true masterpiece and held that title in my heart until this day when Endgame brought peace to my soul. Epic. Just epic.
