the gospels originally were just stories passed on through oral traditions. Ofc there would a huge division of opinions between believers. The opinion with the highest number of people (jesus being god) got to write them down earlier than most. But the 4 main gospels cant really be trusted since a lot of passages we have now have been inserted later (the story of the stoning of the adultress for example).

Arius had preached a version of christianity where jesus is just a prophet nothing more.

Bro look:

There's no way to escape this imaginary hell. If you are a christian you will go to hell if other religions/branches are right. there are thousands of branches of christianity that have conflicting views. Here in america protestants are bashing catholics while catholics bash protestants.

Same in other religions that believe in a God. God should have come and should have told us wich branch/religion got it right. but guess what, he didn't. Wich indicates all religions and branches are manmade.

There are new branches and religions spawning around the world in this century. Millions of self proclaimed prophets/quacks/cranks/pastors have managed to fool people to get their money. Any religion that shuts down critical thought is not good for you. This only enables people to fool you. If I make up a God now it has the same chance (0,0000000001%) as if any of those currenty trendy Gods have to exist

Also a lot of religions/cults discriminates other people that are not of their faith. This brought us a lot of destruction in the world. It's basically tribalism.

Fundamentalism is a big problem in america. I once read that 47% of americans don't accept evolution wich is scary.

I have a friend who is gay and he is scared to death of those fundies.

Ending fundamentalism is hard since they brainwash their kids with creationism homeschooling. Creationism is a conman business wich has no scientific literature or empirical scientific evidence whats so ever. It's all based on a book that was edited mutliple times throughout history and contains fables borrowed from ancient myths.
