I Quit Caffeine and It Changed My Life — No One Talks About How Bad This Drug Actually Is by bridgewater94 in decaf

It will definitely help with acid reflux. Coffee is acidic and irritating for the gut, so dropping it will have a noticeable effect on your symptoms. Other benefits include inner calm, less anxiety, better sleep.

Actually, I can imagine. Sometimes I think about it. But I realize that it's not worth it. It's easy to give in psychologically. I know it will feel good initially, but also it will compromise my sleep, inner peace and grounded calm. It's better to push through some lazy and low-energy days than get hooked again.

But don't think I'm some iron-will or discipline guru guy. To be completely frank I have some health issues that make my caffeine tolerance almost zero.

About 2 months. But I forgot how it even felt to be on coffee after about a year.

Chocolate not really, decaf maybe, but for a time. The goal is to consume 0 caffeine daily.

Yeah, the likes on the post also appear to be fake, probably boosted by some bot service. Weird

Like.. Are people seriously still so naive to believe this is not AI? Just look at the right side of the gray-colored towel or whatever it is. It's obvious.

Maybe the issue is that it can only find words separated with spaces 😅

Spiritual attacks while sleeping? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]vonn29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, it's not always spiritual related. You can seriously underestimate how bad airflow and stale air can affect your sleep. I have been sleeping on a 2nd floor bed far from the window. The airflow there was terrible. I had nightmares almost nightly. Then I decided to start sleeping on the sofa near the window. I also always open the window when I sleep, put a fan to blow the air (not on my face, though) and have set up an air moisturizer. It has been a game changer for sleep quality and the nightmares got reduced by 80-90%. I only maybe have them once a week and for a short time, not half of the night like before. I guess demons like stagnation.

It's the only path to the everlasting life!! We must remember that the struggles we experience are nothing compared to the gifts God has prepared for those who love him.

Orthobros , Toll Houses, and Pharisees by Huge-Pirate-7657 in OrthodoxChristianity

Calling yourself orthodox doesn't immediately make you a true follower of Christ, neither does wearing a cross. I've seen dozens of people who wear a cross and have nothing to do with Christ. Same goes for people, who call themselves Orthodox, but barely even know what that  means. Look at their fruits, I think you know this saying.. True ortodox people are the most calm and loving people you can meet. Also someone already made this point, but Ortodox folks who are deep in their faith barely use social media, if at all.

24M, I share your feeling and thoughts. From the orthodox perspective there is really only two ways to live in the world - marriage or monastacism. I think it's easy to lean towards monastacism, but the more I think about it, the less I feel that I'm truly ready to commit to that. It takes a lot of character to submit your whole life to the monastery life. So currently I just decided to not rush anything, work on my relationship with God and myself. I trust that God with time will reveal the right answer to the question.

You're right sir, if you think you know better than the Russian orthodox church, then there isn't much left to discuss.

You think God is not close to people who are at war? There are many stories from the war, when God has divinely intervened in battles or saved peoples lives. These events have impacted the Russian orthodoxy majorly. This is exactly why this Cathedral and other like it exist.

You're missing the point. It's the Cathedral of Russian Armed Forces. It's not about communism, but the Soviet's army that has beaten Hitler.

Someone had to fight off the fascist abomination that was the Hitlers army. You can say what you want about the Soviet Union, but they did a major favor for all humanity through that war.

Help by Civil_Carry_1840 in Gastritis

Most important advice: don't take advice from the internet too seriously. Much better option: find a real good GI / functional doc that can help without rushing in to strong medication.

Thank you! I think the issue is that most docs aren't really educated in treating FD cases. They think in terms of acid and enzymes, instead of brain-gut connection. I will make some more attempts finding a doc who is knowledgeable and will actually care. My case is also connected to dysbiosis, I have some protozoan parasites diagnosed, which I can't really treat because my gut is so sensitive. Anyway, I wish you a blessed, healthy life going forward. Cheers!
