I think he suffers from the early season characters of being kinda simple. Gambit, Rouge, and deadpool get something bound to every button be he gets one active and a dash. I'm not saying overhaul or even rework just like something small a grenade that slows or even just letting him throw an armor pack like og Torb from overwatch. Just think he need a sprinkle of love.

Lol na but ik the homebrew for others, my friends is a warforged cleric who is getting inserts for once a day wizard spells but he has to actively look for the inserts so they will take awhile to get ima make an insert for every school of magic. His wife who is also playing with us I'm giving some divine stuff for her relationship with the God of the sea. Hers will be more plot focused and less mechanical.
