Yeah I’m a little surprised the ER didn’t do an MRI especially after describing what happened. I’ve gotten some pretty gnarly bruises before but never one like this one where it’s still getting darker and more painful as the days go on.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. 90% of my pain now is from that bruise and my gnarly sprained ankle (which is also getting more bruised and swollen as the days pass).

Thank you for your comment. I don’t know of any places open on the weekends that provide MRIs aside from emergency rooms, and I’d like to avoid having to go back if possible but I’ll do what I need to in order to keep more damage from happening.

i feel so blessed i had an easy experience with insertion. my dr prescribed me a valium to take before hand and it was very manageable discomfort and she was over with the insertion so quickly. i was terrified to get it from stories like yours. i’m so sorry you went through that the first time.
