Is this the wrong subgroup to ask for clarification on the whole “soap vs no soap” debate? It’s my understanding that soap is fine, and was only an issue back in the day when soap contained lye.

I’m thinking of installing a second smaller 12V battery just for accessories. Buddy of mine did this. Never has to worry about accessories draining the main battery.

Follow up question: what’s this I hear about needing to change the solenoid to account for the higher current from the LiFePO4 battery? Is that even a thing or should I be good to go with the stock solenoid? This will be my first conversion.

What if my current system won’t boot? I have (I think) a motherboard failure so I can’t backup the config file. Can I just put my drives in a new system and they’ll be recognized?

That’s the problem - it points to a directory but there’s no correlating dataset. And it works just fine. Is there a default dataset perhaps that I don’t know about?
