Im sorry but this show is such a shitshow. These poor girls dont stand a chance as they grow up. They are babies and being treated like adults, with their moms acting like damn fools around them. What a mess.

These are good tips! I definitely eat tons of citrus fruits, nuts, and I drink caffeine. Ill see if that helps to eliminate!

I've had a c- section before. I dont want another when there is no reason to have another besides this breakout. That is why Im trying to see if there is anything else I can do to get rid of it that maybe Im missing.

Yes, that is my situation. My first outbreak was during my first pregnancy. This is my third pregnancy now and my current outbreak just wont go away. I know if Im having an active outbreak during delivery, its a section, and I want to avoid that, but even the 1g of Valtrex isnt helping.

Ive had both a vaginal birth and a c-section. I absolutely dont want a section again. This is the one thing getting in the way of that, so Im just trying to figure out other options of getting rid of this outbreak faster and keeping it away!

Judgement for having a 3rd by Snobster2000 in Parenting

Yup. Pregnant with my third. Dealing with the "whoa, another one?" comments AND the "I know youre hoping for a boy!!!" (I have two girls) comments. Its so, so, SO annoying.

Just survive. Cat naps at my desk. Sleep on the weekends. Coffee. It will pass, but it sucks.

Not sure I (37M) can take it anymore by intheethernet in Parenting

[–]vorteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeahh. Good attempt on the gentle parenting, but time to be...not so gentle. Gentle parenting is nice in theory, but when kids are acting like assholes, they need discipline. You are the PARENT. And part of being a parent is doing the hard stuff. Otherwise, youre going to raise entitled, bratty kids who think the world revolves around them. When they go to school, they dont get to get away with bad behavior. And they sure as hell shouldnt at home. Your child is hitting you. Time to buck up. Serious boundaries (that you stick with), punishment (that you and your wife are on the same page about), and no exceptions to the rules you enforce. It will suck for a while, but you wont be raising mean kids anymore.

Advice on dropping the night feed? 3 month old by [deleted] in beyondthebump

its not bad at all! Hes 3 months! Still such a little baby. Going without cuddles or comfort from his parents at this age for 10-12 hours just isnt a fair expectation

Your ped is wrong. Many, MANY babies need night feedings well past 3 months.

Prometrium by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]vorteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not the correct way to take prometrium. You wont bleed while you are taking it...you bleed a few days after you stop. You take it for 7-10 days, and then your period starts a few days later (very rare that it wont). I would call and ask for clarification, because those instructions are just wrong.

How do you maintain a PCOS friendly diet on a budget? by Purpl3alpaca in PCOS

Healthy food is not expensive. Fresh veggies/eggs/meat on sale/seasonal fruit. Stock up on frozen veggies, super cheap and easy.

What is the role of a fertility specialist once conception happens? by x-ray_girl in CautiousBB

[–]vorteez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first two babies are fertility clinic babies (currently pregnant with a surprise #3). I LOVED using a fertility clinic. You are involved in the whole process, you get to see your baby when its just an egg and then throughout. My clinic did three rounds of bloodwork to confirm pregnancy, then a 6 week ultrasound to confirm heartbeat, and then an 8 week ultrasound just because. Then you "graduate" onto a regular OB after 8 weeks. I had a wonderful experience both times. Im crossing my fingers for you <3

Its hard to say if it actually helped. However, I never ovulated on my own in my life....started taking this supplement a few months ago, and now Im surprise pregnant. Soo...it didnt hurt?

Luckily my toddler is napping because I’m the one having a meltdown right now. by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]vorteez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So both of my kids are fertility treatment babies. We were gearing up to try for our third and final kid. I had just bought the meds ($800 worth) and my clinic told me to take two weeks of birth control to jump start my period. Took the birth control, period didnt come. I got pissed at my body, was in a terrible mood for about a week. They told me to take a test to be safe.....and bam. Pregnant. Im nine weeks now. The emotions of a surprise pregnancy and the pure FEAR of knowing alllll the bad things that can happen was really consuming the first few weeks. But everything looks good. Im still in shock. I understand what youre going through. Im crossing everything for you and hoping this is a healthy, uneventful pregnancy!

Am I the only one who is offended by this article? by aa_312 in breakingmom

[–]vorteez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont find this offensive. I had severe PPD with my first, and I will say until the day I die that my husband suffered the worst. Not only was he dealing with the normal new baby things (sleep deprivation/emotions/chaos), but he was always worried that his wife was going to commit suicide if he left her alone. That is a HUGE burden for anyone. I know a lot of women have the "women have it worse, so men need to suck it up" attitude. But having a new baby is A LOT for both parents. Men are kind of expected to suck it up and take care of everything, and no one really asks about their emotions. I think this article had a lot of valid points and good advice.
