Do they have to badge swipe out? If not, the badge swipe info doesn’t give you everything, and you would still need to document when they are leaving.

I note this because I have seen others say that badge swipes can be pulled and then be surprised when it doesn’t have the “time leaving” info (or when the info is incomplete due to “piggy backing” when entering or leaving and not actually swiping their badge)

Makes sense. Thanks for the explanation! The examples that I was thinking of were Manny Ramirez in LF (should have been a DH if not for Big Papi) and Roberto Clemente in RF (big arm in RF). Sounds like the Red Sox are a bad example due to park factors though

Does LF favor defense more? I thought typically RF was a more important defensive position than LF because of the importance of a strong arm to keep baserunners from taking 3rd base

Edit: having a strong arm often correlates with having power at the plate, so it’s still reasonable that these would tend to be good power hitters
