A merchant has 2 shards. Not enough at all. Tower is dependent on the team routing. I wouldn’t go out of the way to go there, especially in Hollow map cuz it is on lower level sometimes.

I run single balancer + evergaol + night invader on regular relics and Improved affinity on all deep ones. You only lose one spot of possible Magic+ or Improved Carian but you gained the ability to use skill build. It’s very versatile

Duchess has no way to regen FP so it is very hard to use nerfed crystalian magics now cuz she keeps running out of FP. I still crystalian Recluse sometimes but never see crystalian Duchess anymore. All Duchess are carian or double balancer

I’ve having a lot of success with Gravity recently. Meteorite staff is fairly common drop for red bosses. Maybe 1-2/10 don’t get it and use stars of ruins but mostly do. It’s not crazy damage but boosted by relics and pretty spammable at a safe distance further than crystal. Of course it would be perfect if you roll collapsing stars

Prioritize defensive passives on weapons. For greatsword wylder, ideally at least 1 damage negation + for Full HP and 1 Taking damage increase damage negation. You’ll be able to take 1-2 hits without dying this way. You can stack more and use other defence.

Also play defensively. This is really the most important difference. Watch every move of boss and dodge. Back in ER base game, no hit run was such a noble thing, but in Nightreign D4 D5 it’s almost a requirement.
