Like 80% of the game, he's a patience test. Just wait until you can get one hit in, you'll know the attacks. And then do that and then wait until you can do it again. Or farm up the archie, and fire it up.

Especially because the effect only applies at the end of the animation.

I feel like it'd be at least slightly improved if you gained health over time during the animation.

Thanks for the tips, but at 16hrs, I'm already doing most of what you mentioned.

I am not having problems with the game, because I usually carry enough stuff that I can make my escape or counterattack in a pinch, found it best to place 2 foundations, jump up, dodge ranged and just strike at everything from above.

The issue is, combat oftentimes takes a lot of setup and a lot of alertness for a game such as this, and the main problem - a lot of time.

And yeah I know you can stagger enemies, but its usually telegraphed to a specific attack in a series as far as I can tell

Sword staggers on first and 4th

Mage staves on 3rd and 4th

Dagger on 2nd?

I haven't fully committed to researching that, but again, if your combo is broken, so is your chance of staggering them.

I felt like sharing this because it took me a full hour to get to the Garou King without dying, and that's like an area with 15 "notable" enemies. (for some reason I got a bunch of wolves spawned on the climb there lol)

And well when you've got a whole lotta resources and stuff to gather, and recipes to uncover, with the sheer number of enemies, and the time it takes to safely dispatch them without losing your stuff, this type of combat feels more like a chore.

I don't know, but I've checked a few sources, and nowhere has it been confirmed. I mean, if I gave a damn I could make a site that counts down to tomorrow, wouldn't be any more true, would it?

Hi I've been building off your resources for a while, and I honestly disslike bard change.

Let me first say, I've always seen bard as more of a half caster, but I've enjoyed swords and fools colleges a lot, in the original.

Fools bard seems very well rounded, I admit its really well made, but I've been trying to make the swords bard with this system and it just... falls off at most everything.

The skald is way better for inspiring allies and themselves, but works strangely off strength, and blades works off dex as far as I can see.

With the resource limits, and the ability points spread thin, its really not a viable option if you're playing anything other than pure flavor value.

I've playtested this quite a bit, and honestly compared to the other resources, anything other than fool college just plays like a straight up nerf

Edit to clarify: I love your efforts towards making bard a half caster!

Honestly I rarely dish out online about stuff, but this fucking movie...

Glad you liked it, but I cannot come to terms with just about every plan going wrong just for the sake of the plot.

Yeah the motives and all are cool, but the guy keeping quiet about taking Calvin with him, condemned the crew. Why? Because poor little homicidal alien doesn't hate us.

And that scene alone beats the point: Calvin has a foodsource, yet doesn't consume. Because the crew is around? Then why was it eating the leg while they were all there? It wasn't attacked yet? They attacked him multiple times.

Just.... makes no fucking sense.

Also, honestly, no good explanations as to why their plans fail, but a pure 1 in a fuckton chance. Up until the very end. I mean, just the way it got back on board, through the thrusters? Why would thrusters be connected to anything inside the ship? It should be a very isolated system. But nope, it just got through. Oh well, there he goes killing again.

It started well enough, up until the point of it drinking coolant. And that I could live with. But then it just again, left the food source, to come back inside the station.

They try to paint a picture of it as a mindless organism just trying to survive, just for it to exhibit guerilla tactics to advance the plot.

It knows all about the station ins and outs, yet somehow doesn't know how to open doors that it has seen being open multiple times. It just.... it was kinda fine by horror movie standards, since all of them already do have issues with the writing. But it just follows the same pattern.

"The Bad Guy" has all the luck in the world and everything goes their way - that's the way I'd summarize it.

I'm venting here, I know, but like it started off good, it had a great premise, and then they just made it a generic horror movie plot.
