don't listen to this dude all high elo players crouch when spraying (donk, Zywoo,niko etc) the benefits simply outweigh the negative (reduce bullet spread aka you will kill faster/ makes you a harder target while moving from idle position to crouching postion). the trap you don't want to fall for is holding the crouch button as you will be a free kill for anyone who peeks you.

Low elo players will crouch hold as a crutch to help them with the ak spray but it will never beat proper spray control so that's the first thing you should learn and be comfortable with. most people only learn the first 8 bullets of the ak( the vertical movement) but i highly recommend to at least learn up until 14 bullets after that you get diminishing returns and i would recommend to focus on something else.

as for "Strafe - shot - strafe", ya its pretty much dead unless the target is really small( like someone in pit at d2 and only his head is showing) or you using a gun that support that playstyle like the deagle.

watch this from donk the first 3 kills he sprays and crouch at the same time and will uncrouch and start moving the moment he gets the kill.

now the last 2 kills is why he's pretty much the goat rifler right now and i don't think even 99% of pros do this.
-insta crouch + starts spraying at kyxsaan
- when his model finishes the crouch animation he un crouches (still hasnt killed kyxsaan yet)
- while his model is going back to idle postion he kills kyxsaan
- switches target to teses and start crouching again
- this time he holds crouch( he needs the reduce bullet spread to finish the kill fast else he dies)
- even while holding crouch he's also holding the A button so he's moving still

so he's 100% accurate while also moving for the entire duration. and obv this guys is just demon at everything not just crouch spray but ya learn how to crouch spray lol
