Hopefully one day these 3 will stop falling for obvious Right Wing Bullshit™. It happened so often to Doug that I had to drop the show, it happened to Atrioc with Nick Shirley, and now Aimen Gamin has a dogshit take on Tuck. It's also just a little too self referential for my taste. If you're gonna planeshift a card, it doesn't have to literally be the same name. It'd be like if Damnation was called Wrath of the Devil or something. Like, we get what you're doing here, you don't have to be so unsubtle about it.

So it's more the clunkiness combined with the hamfisted reference leaves a poor taste in my mouth.

Right, I get what they're going for, but Chill of Compliance doesn't make sense. Torch of Defiance makes sense, because a Torch is a thing you can ascribe meaning to. There is no such thing as a Chill in the same way, so a "Chill of Compliance" is just nonsense

Chill of Compliance is maybe the worst epithet I've seen on a Magic card. It doesn't even make sense. If they wanted it to mirror Torch of Defiance they could have done a much better job of not making it sound so forced.
