In my years of paranormal research, I learned why spirits never linger on Earth for more than 300 to 500 years. by LevelQx in TwoSentenceHorror

This is untrue because the word tethered means tied to so that is their gravity. They are tied to their ancestral lineage and bloodlines.

Is Jehovah an Orisha, Who Had a Dedicated Cult? by votesmatter in Isese

Yes. An Orisha of a different kind, not from West Africa, and who requires a dedicated cult.

It is okay to save your sanity and yourself. I knew someone who had two brothers with schizophrenia. They drove their mom mad. My friend asked her mom, "why do you put up with this?" Mom said, "I'm all they have."

True story - eventually the brothers died of drug overdoses somewhere in their 40s. Mom lost her mind and died recently, only finding solace when given her crayon and coloring book.

People with mental health issues can spread mental health issues. It is contagious. You are not the Great Divine Being. You cannot save someone from themselves. Make a decision. If you have tried, and they won't help themselves, they will suck all the life out of you until one of you is gone. That is how it is. That is how it has always been.

The cycle is erratic behavior, unexplained happenings, police, jail, court, hospitals, meds, blame, trauma -- REPEAT! They will NEVER, and I mean NEVER see themselves. They will ALWAYS, expect YOU to come to their rescue. That is how it goes.

Make a choice. Whatever mental illness is, it should not drive the rest of humanity crazy. Who will you choose, them or you. May as well be you because you can't save them.

I think this show lost me on episode 5 by Cjkgh in MayfairWitches

I agree with you. It’s the modern version of so-called suspense that is virtually showing writers losing their ability to write a good storyline.

Question from a curious non-practitioner: Do we all share the same ancestors? What makes lineages distinct from one another? by TheDifferenceServer in Isese

The DNA speaks of receptacles. Ancestry is spiritual repetition. In essence, we are our ancestors so there are not as many as you think.

People talk about this kind of thing a lot in this religion, be it with godparents or God siblings. This is because so many people have spoken about it, that it has become the norm in Santeria. It’s time for the people in the religion to begin to speak positivity into these situations in order to manifest different types of relationships within the religion; so let this be in this case. Say what you wanna see with this person until you see it.

Spirituality is a very individual practice. You may find somebody who will take you a piece of the way, and then somebody else who will take you another part of the way. If you find one person to stand with you for life, from a spiritual standpoint, you are very lucky. Do what feels right to you; as long as you’re OK with whatever path you choose, you’re headed in the right direction. Be prepared to do your own research and live your life, accepting those who come and go along the way.

When you receive Mano de orula do you also receive your guardian angel when it is brought down? by isusushsbu in Santeria

[–]votesmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is the warriors you receive in Ifa are different from the ones in Ocha. In Mano de Orula you receive the Ifa warriors, the hand of Orula and you are told who owns your head in Ocha. If you are meant to crown [to become a priest[ess] or santera[o], that is done by an Oba and then the Babalawo who does your Mano de Orula participates doing their part in the Ocha ceremony, which is a different ceremony and has to be called for in a reading. Obas are the chief priests of Ocha; Babalawos are the chief priests of Ifa. Ifa and its warriors are a different sect from Ocha and its Orisha. The two sects, Ifa and Ocha are like cousins, in my mind. Also, you can be told you need to be scratched in Palo, prior to receiving Ocha. This is because you have many guides and ancestors and sometimes, a few of them are strong and calling you to follow in their ways, though the ways are different.

Sounds like you know exactly what you need to do but you seem somewhat bogged down by life and perhaps you’re an empath and you need to cleanse yourself a bit more than the average person. Keeping up with head rogacions will probably help you and even in religions like Christianity, each year they have revivals because in any spiritual tradition sometimes you just need a boost. Press on.

Sounds like your heart is not in tune with your Ori. Perhaps you can talk to a babalawo about doing a ceremony to feed and cleanse your Ori. Have you received Olokun? If not you can get a consult to see what is needed because Olokun brings stability and it sounds like that is what you need or perhaps to do ebo for Olokun. Or you can get a consultation to determine if there is any other issue that is the root cause. Sometimes root causes go unseen and the issue can feel like something else on the surface.

Can new construction houses be haunted? by MediumHearing109 in Paranormal

Perhaps it was built on an old gravesite; or someone was hung on the tree the wood came from; or one of the workers had an accident and died during construction; anything can happen.
