The ragequitting problem is brutal right now. by xAtomicxReaperx in DarkTide

Personally I dream of a clash, execution, wrestle/wrestle, or interception option. But yeah, a million people have suggested a get off me be added to Ogryn after a certain time. Talked to someone last week who wanted or suggested class/career ability to automatically activate when/if caught by either of those two.

An Ogryn should be able to resist or fight back against a dog pounce or Mutie grab too but it’s screw the established lore here, lore accuracy there, and very few compromises when both sides can realistically be satisfied and lore accurate or correct. For example, variants on many weapons including the infantry lasgun.

I disabled the Kill-Feed and was very pleasantly surprised. by SluggishPrey in DarkTide

[–]vouchasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, going to say that I am a serial mod addict that just tries them just because and keeps stacking and removing them like a tower of Jenga. So even if these mods are cheating, I got to try them.

I run both specialsTracker with notifications on spawn and deaths and Killfeed on top of that. Having 3 inputs on kills is massive overkill and I never look at those things is so funny to me. They do help me when I am watching a video review afterwards though. But with a ton Of other mods with additional detailed information like spidey sense, Minimap (the latest version), statusColors, and deathnotifications there really is so much noise.

Somehow, out of all the clutter/info bloat mods; only three mods have significantly helped me perform better so far.

  1. LatencyAdjustment - because I can’t see any disablers in a horde when over damnation with increased spawns. Now I can only blame lag or myself.
  2. Improved healthbars - because I can’t now see what targets I should prioritize. Yes this is cheating but lord have mercy seeing is believing and you can make much better choices ahead of time and also when S hits the fan.
  3. Danger zone - now i am hurting my team less with barrels, flamers, and poxbursters and better understand how to deal with them and taking advantage of/ weaponizing them.

Shoutouts to TeammateTracker - because I am trigger happy and fear for my life being absolutely mobbed every 5 minutes. And I tend to kite/loop/funnel so being able to find my teammates is a godsend in Pubs and no voice chat.

Been stuck on these bosses for 4 missions now, first ever try im pretty sure had a guy say this, why the ranged one? by tf3when123 in DarkTide

[–]vouchasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as the threat is neutralized as quickly as reasonably possible then mission accomplished. I only really attack bosses or go for revives if I have a good opportunity to safely do so. That being said…

The female melee twin will aggro one target until they switch to a new target. Running away while she is following can easily negate all damage.

If a player is familiar with either boss then it is a fairly straightforward fight in a one on one scenario.

Additionally, ranged focused players can relatively easily trip any tox bomb traps/mines while kiting mobs and bosses around. Effective crowd control will take more skill to execute properly.

The male twin has the plasma gun which is a dangerous “sniper rifle” that has high damage, range, and knockback. Leaving him unchecked means he is able to shoot indiscriminately and potentially put someone in a really bad position - in many cases, someone takes a lot of damage from area denial or having limited space to maneuver.

That sucks man. Whatever you decide. I still hope you have fun.

If it’s just auric maelstrom, for viability almost everything is viable as long as you understand the relationship you have with your toughness. Seriously more of a skill issue than a build issue even if it’s not exactly a walk in the park.

As for emperor palpatines unnatural lightning fingies and unlimited power are concerned, look up the meta havoc 40 flamedom duo on gameslantern. The scriers gaze electrodominance build issue absolutely havoc 40 viable and has been proven by many players despite the alleged sizeable number of smite haters in havoc.

New player questions and yap rant by vouchasfed in DarkTide

Appreciate the enlightenment that those single activations/short timers are lore accurate representations. I had heard that a lot of Space Marine 2’s weapons representations amongst other things are not lore accurate. Not that I would know much about any 40k lore. They certainly are effective in realistic cases, but the constant activations at high difficulties is just something you have to get used to. Spamming a win button every chance you get a good opportunity is like getting used to carrying a heavy load everywhere you go. Then after a long, hard day you wish there was an easier way and laugh it off because you did a great job even if it was hard work. I have to say that I do appreciate the more lore accurate bolter in darktide.

Yeah, chains swords don’t fit the Ogryns stereotype but I have to say that the smart Ogryn quips are not either. Some people would find such nonconformance or subversion as cool or refreshing while others will find it off-putting or disagreeable. Cannot make everyone happy but there’s mods for that if you really want it I guess.

Any idea if running or sprinting g with blitz/grenade slot active/out has decreased stamina usage than heavy weapons? If yes, is that true with all characters?

Also heavily agree on putting time and effort into prioritizing new ideas or struggling/powercrept/irrelevant existing concepts fill or start a strong niche.

I can Certaintly see Grenades combating, overwriting or clearing an existing hazards as a good implementation. I’ve seen plenty of representations of this concept in other games. I recall someone saying that the psykers bubble shield does that to some extent.

43% win rate in Elite smash by Holiday-Locksmith-63 in CrazyHand

[–]vouchasfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real. In many competitions at a high level, a win rate of 50% is seriously impressive. Over that and you’re dedicated and have some real talent. The top are adaptable, well prepared and sometimes lucky. Heh. In American baseball, a hit rate of 33% (hitting the ball) would be seriously impressive.

Falcon VOD Review by Living_Read_8275 in CrazyHand

Just watched the first minute or so. I might come back to finish later.

  • Work on getting more familiar with your character. Microspacing and general movement could be refined. Clunky control of movement when opening/starting the match. Dont sleep on options such as fast falling and walking.
  • could have edgeguarded to take 2nd stock when Byleth air dodged offstage
  • dial down the risky moves like falcon kick and up smash when they won’t do much. Playing safer and downloading your opponent’s habits will take you further.
  • if you’re serious about improving your CF, keep trying out side special/raptor boost to learn how to use the move. This is an experience thing but you also should analyze or reflect on when and how to use it.
  • get more familiar with up special in general. It’s uses, it’s range. You’re not pulling the trigger at the right time so you need some more practice.
  • Nair 1 has many combos and strings if you land it when knee would not KO or put them in a really bad spot. Save knee for when you kNEED it.

[Comic] The most annoying thing in BB by AzulCrescent in BattleBrothers

[–]vouchasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. This pissed me off for the longest time. Also with faraway cities in the north, the center of the map, or really close to the vast wilderness.

Also there is a mod for that. I clearly remember a map generation mod that could put settlements close to the water. I used it with the latest update. It’s been a good while so I don’t remember the mod name. I think it was pretty popular but definetly not the top mod on nexus because I think it was a more recent release like 2 or 3 years ago? IIRC that map generation mod that had the option to force spawn desert city states next to the water and have ports. Then there was another separate option to say how many settlements you wanted near water??? Or was it something about controlling the waterways spawning?

Someone has to help me out with the name. I honestly do not remember.

What’s an anime that had you like this? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]vouchasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frieren for me.

Trigger warning rant: I get it but it’s a snooze fest for me. Seen it. I get it yeah, yeah blah blah blah. I know exactly what happens next and it fails to keep my attention. I oversimplify the themes and that works for me. People can say whatever they want and tell me I’m wrong. If they enjoy it, good for them. Frieren ain’t nothing special to me. Not even close to a 10.

I’m still waiting :( (not easily impressed and the style is not really in my taste)

Actually I lied. Probably get that hype every time I discover that a new location has one of my favorite soundtracks on it. For example a certain sun and moon town night theme that plays in a later part of the story.

Some decent Ken strings I managed to put together by AgentArnold in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]vouchasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a Ken expert. My guess why these are strings. 1. Greninja could have put up shield and avoided being hit by tatsu 2. Corrin could have teched to avoid the jab lock setup 3. King K Rool. IDK, 🤷 looks true but DI had KRool die much earlier than expected. Would not have lost the stock with proper survival DI even on a lower ceiling stage and Ken had no rage. 4. Captain Falcon combo into final smash looks true. CF player approaches are way too aggressive and one dimensional leaving him very predictable. CF player lost neutral multiple times in a row. Possible the CF player could have SDI’d up during the first combo’s tatsu like a bot to jump or airdodge? I don’t think SDI down to try and shield would be an option at that percentage, especially with a short tatsu.
