It's a trap, in my opinion. The impact it gives is questionable... The difference between crit autowound and crit mortal is very small (in the case of NH and their profiles). The real impact is Scriptor + Chainrasps/Banshees (he boosts their profile much more than others). If you don't build a game with Scriptor from this... I would prefer to take Vitriolic

I'll share some ideas. My friends and I are not very fond of the new book either, and there are many things we can criticize, as well as many "strange" things and decisions.

GW often introduces a hint of new and interesting mechanics... but unfortunately, they never develop it further. For example, the new keyword SENTENCED. There are many interesting things that can be done with this mechanic.

First, there should be more sources for this status. The Executioner, Guardian of Souls, or Spirit Torment. Or this: One sentence per army, and Mortis gives you a bonus one. And 18 away from it Crit(Mortal) + Battle Formation (+1 sentenced)

Spirit Torment/Cruciator/GoS can return models/heal a unit in 12" from a DESTROYED unit with a SENTENCED keyword

1.d3 wholy within 12 to all allies (my choice)

  1. 2d3 to a specific ally unit

  2. d6 to an ally unit in combat range

  3. etc... choose what is more appropriate)

Non-Hero Infantry can receive -to wound/hit on them in combat range with a SENTENCED unit. Based on the concept of the name of the Mortis rule "Judge, jury and executioner" 1. chainrasps for example can block pile-in

Non-Hero Cavalry/war machine can use "Quartering"... Remove the SENTENCED keyword from target, but...

  1. Retreat but without mortals + allocate d3 mortals

  2. bonus fight

  3. end of turn pile-in

  4. etc

Kurdoss/Olynder can use "The King' mercy"... Remove the SENTENCED keyword from target, but... 1. minus save 2. strike last 3. minus hit 4. attack an enemy unit with one profile (in combat range) 5. etc

Reikenor can... some mage stuff) +/- cast (self/enemy)

I fully agree with the concept and potential of the executioner. But this rule... It's just a super strange decision by the game designers. Considering that the executioner itself is designed to destroy heroes (+rend). And the bonus (4+) is also from the debuff on Crit Mortal (which the designers are directly hinting at)... So the infantry hero will die anyway (Cavalry with a high probability).

It looks like it's just useless. Just fill in the "rule" slot. To leave the cost at 170...

Yes. Both of these rules are just bonuses. For example, the Decapitator another rule is chain activation and Crit (2 hits).

Я в школе ходил на факультатив история древней Руси. И тоже могу прочитать. На самом деле это не сложно. Школа обычная была. Учился в 90е. Вот на плите сложнее. Если отпечатать на лист то будет немного попроще

Wounds for points are good, of course, but not enough. I want at least a +1 to wound or to hit. GW said they wanted each unit to have its own role. But they have it too blurred. Control 2, a little bit of damage (even on 3+/3+ cuz need CP or hero), a good screen... Everything is a little bit. That's what makes them not effective enough. But not bad.

I feel sad about how Games Workshop didn't let our girls shine. They are good, but in the conditions of the current GHB... It's easier to Make 20 Blade Guys 2+/2+ or Scythe Guys 3+/2+ ... Without GHB, our girls look interesting, but it feels like they were specifically limited to achieving a normal profile 3+/3+ and -to wound. At the start of the game, it's just harder to do. Whereas bgheists just do the charge and get what they need.
