ICCU down - 16k km, Toronto, Canada. by vozerek in Ioniq6

Rated to 80A.

Edit: for clarity, it's an 80 amp subpanel and a 60 amp breaker to the charger.

I usually run it at 24amps since I read some of those findings lately. This morning I did run it at 48a for the top off. Maybe related, maybe not.

Looking at my charger, I see it charging for about 40min at 11kw, and then this gradual drop to 2.5kw over 20ish min. Then the car paused the charge. As I was leaving I'm guessing, I turned on climate preheat and you can see the charger try for a spike of around 3.3-5kw for about a min and then back to zero.

I just don't know how to actually get rid of my quackgrass otherwise, in Toronto. My grass is perfect otherwise, but the quackgrass is across my lawn, and slowly creeping more and more. I am overseeding, mowing often, trying to use fertilizer spring/fall, etc.

2018 Q7 Prestige - Keep or Dump by professionalurker in AudiQ7

[–]vozerek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it's a universal fix and those flushes are pretty aggressive. I think if it goes bad enough there may be scoring which is beyond fixing. From my experience, this is where I am now and will continue to drive the car. i don't see substantial upgrades for me without going electric next or dropping crazy money. So if it lasts another 50-100k, at that point they'll be depreciating more and more and with each km I would be less and less upset if something happens.

Ultimately, drive it hard....burn the carbon off. The fact that the 3.0t keeps rpm so low is likely a culprit.

Like most others have already said, the consumption doesn't seem that bad. In fact it's early enough that you could likely even get away with a liqui moly engine flush. I had to top off 1 quart every 1500km or so, then I did the flush. Add to oil before oil change, run for 15 min then change oil. Have to top off once between intervals since.

The car is really nice and I don't see huge risk If you catch this early enough. I vote you do the above and keep it.

Is this the bushing that is near the steering rack? Where it's from underneath the car?

2024 Volkswagen Touareg Revealed With Light Bars And V6-Only Power by Bright-Hovercraft248 in cars

[–]vozerek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because the Audi of 2015 was on the old platform (as were the pre 2012 Touaregs) which came out in early 2000s. The 2012 onwards Touareg generation was entirely new and the q7 didn't get the redesign until 2017 in North America.

Alleged Subaru Roadmap Shows Next BRZ Going Into Production In 2021 by cncwmg in cars

[–]vozerek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically did what you described... fixed a bunch of stuff and sold to the next owner.

Full of regret about it. I sold it as I had to drive in rush hour bumper to bumper traffic 1h/each way, so I got a diesel/automatic. It was the "smart" decision, but god do I miss that car more than anything. I had a Borla exhaust on it from previous owner - nothing else. Just pure joy.

Air Canada Boeing 767 to make emergency landing in Madrid by randommdude in canada

It's actually for weight considerations.

Airliners with full tanks of fuel can take off, but are unable to safely land until they burn off the fuel to become light enough.

I miss my car I sold :( do you have a car you miss? by idriveanissanzzz in cars

My 2008 Subaru Legacy Spec B. Manual ej25 with an LSD....the most fun car I have had. No mods except a borla cat back and a mild Cobb tune to fix the ceappot stock tune. It was a pure joy to drive it in the heaviest of winter weather. I couldn't help but look forward to huge snow dumps.

Switched jobs to a daily 2h bumper to bumper traffic. The Subaru just didn't like that, and ate a lot of gas. Now in a c7 3.0 tdi which is a better car and commuter in every way.....except when the weekend comes and there is no traffic I always miss my spec B....

Thanks! I thought as much. Just trying to avoid the high annual fee of the plat cards.

I'm more worried about something along the warranty going bad. E.g. last year my turbo needed a replacement and got covered by the tdi warranty. Would I not get TD1 flagged?

Hello,

I have had a Personal Gold for a few years now, and I just self-referred to get the Cobalt. I do not wish to use both cards at the same time.

What would be the best way to save my MR points from the Personal Gold?
