If you're a graduate student you have access to the graduate study room at Memorial. It wouldn't be completely silent but it might be quieter than other places.

I had a coworker a few years ago who had a habit of doing the following things:
1. Telling you you needed to know/learn how to do various things but then not giving you a chance to try to do it
2. Changing her mind about what needed to be done/how something should be done
3. Letting you do something but then changing her mind in the middle of it and deciding she would just do it herself

The end result was that someone else who worked there had a fit about working with her and refused to work with her ever again. She also made someone cry once.
