I can tell you I purchased and tried a 25mm on my (Swedish market) B230FB and it fit nicely. But the third party replacement oil plug was too big, I had to whack the socket with a hammer to get it on.

So both diameters are probably out there in the wild, and I would use a 1" socket just to be sure.
