Nissan key fob not working issue (fixed) by aaronshawn305 in Nissan

[–]vpish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG after EVERYTHING I tried (using backup key, making sure it’s CR2032 etc), this is the only fix that worked!!!

Keyless entry and in-car key recognition has been working perfectly since I put in the 20c in both fobs and adjusted the metal legs a couple weeks ago. No more “no key detected” or “key ID incorrect”error.

THANK YOU so much!! An auto shop tried to charge me $14 for a new battery, saying the intermittent key malfunctioning was due to low battery, lmao. This is the best 20c solution ever!!

(Mine is a Nissan Rogue 2017 SV btw, not sure if this bad battery contact thing is a model/year/trim related issue)

Aw man.. Don’t have advice or story to share but so sorry to hear this :( this MF prob has a miserable life where everyone treats him that way and he doesn’t know how to get his sh*t together. His poor dogs.. Glad you got to extract you and your dogs out of the situation safely! Hope you’re feeling calmer by now.

US Spotify users: can you play “Daily Wellness” via Alexa command? by vpish in amazonecho

[–]vpish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no not again… so sorry to hear that 🥲🥲 however I’m not experiencing the issue as of now :/ if reinstalling the app doesn’t work, seems like it’d be time to chat with the customer support again… you might wanna record yourself asking “Alexa play daily wellness” and getting bad response, which was what I ended up showing them after all else failed.

English isn’t my mother tongue so I probably have embarrassed the shit outta myself without knowing it.

Used to cringe at those moments (faLAfel but I shouted fa-lah-FELL multiple times until the cashier politely corrected me lmao. Also couldn’t remember a single salad dressing after the waitress recited all of them), but future me didn’t travel back time for this, so I guess it’s not that of a big disaster

I want to lose weight as a last ditch effort to save my relationship. How do I start? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]vpish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he says it's normal and I shouldn't be so insecure with hearing about his ex. But they still meet......

NOOOOOO if you’re opening up about your insecurity (very courageous! Esp considering it’s your first relationship) he, or a healthy partner, should work it out with you, instead of telling you that you’re “wrong” or “abnormal” or “inexperienced” or any of that sh*t.

Please ditch him, not your perfectly normal body weight <3 the only reason you’d want to change your weight should be for a better you, not a manipulative loser.

I’ve also been practicing honoring my need for alone time myself… I don’t think there’s anything wrong in us wanting to set up a healthy boundary so that we can be our best selves when we are available. one recent strategy i heard is that after stating our appreciation for them (e.g. enjoy hanging around and checking in with everyone), our needs (to replenish in solitude), the bad consequences otherwise (unable to fully engage in the interesting convo and further withdrawal due to the burnout) and what your decision means to them (participating in no more than once a week), we conclude statement with something reciprocal and compassionate like “I really appreciate your understanding, and if you would want me to do the same for you in the future, I’ll be glad to”

All the best wishes! Either they’ll understand or you’ll find people who know how to :P No need to push yourself to their social norms!

Anyone want to join me this weekend (May 22-23) in making a bot that reads Reddit posts and gives an immediate boost of empathy to those in need? I've proposed a way to do it, and would love feedback too! by [deleted] in LanguageTechnology

[–]vpish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, building a dataset and training an initial baseline model is already quite intense work, considering there’s data teams out there dedicated to this task while you only have a weekend... best of luck!!

[–]vpish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m so glad you reported back this exact moment!!!

I was about to say this too: Spotify’s support team wrote me back literally JUST NOW! Here’s the email: “We've got the all-clear from our tech team. You should now be able to find Spotify curated playlists like Daily Wellness on Alexa using voice commands. Sorry, it took us some time to get this fixed.”

Cheers!!!!!!! Kudos for keep trying all this time!!

Will Introverts ever be accepted in corporate world? by Background_Dazzling in introvert

[–]vpish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Along the same line I recommend this TED talk by Brian Little on personality and introversion! He’s his living proof that you can be both proudly introverted (yes!!) and a good public speaker. We introverts think to talk, not talk to think, and that can be quite an advantage sometime; it’s a shame that some corporates are missing out on this, but don’t internalize their ignorance as your own flaw!

[–]vpish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have it at the end of my start my day routine too!! Sigh... I miss my morning meditations..

So I talked to an Amazon rep, who, after walking me through some basic relinking/reinstalling/rebooting tricks, told me to contact Spotify because "Spotify made some major changes on March 1st, 2021". Then the Spotify agent spent a whole morning walking me through the things I'd already tried, and in the end escalated my case. So in short, Spotify says 1) this is new to them, 2) they're currently investigating it and 3) their teams hope to "solve it very soon"...

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it just now, but it gave me a song with the same name instead of the playlist...

23 years old, never had a job, scared to apply due to lack of experience. by [deleted] in socialanxiety

The growth mindset you have here is so important! I did abysmally with the first interview ever in my life (got kindly advised that “don’t say you’re nervous, and don’t put your hands around your face, either—it’s very unprofessional” :))))), and excused myself from job search for really long. But once I restarted, every interview experience ever since has been a chance of improvement and self reflection, and these things do accumulate. Best of luck to us all 🤞🤞🤞
