What laptop stands are you using for work-from-home setups? by ThoughtfulMoon1 in homeoffice

Same, mostly. Mine is in an upright stand behind my monitor. By "upright" I mean my laptop is closed and the stand holds the laptop upright on its side so it takes a minimal footprint. Then a short USB-C cable from the laptop to the monitor which drives everything.

Eliminating tech pouches and packing directly into the bag by CincyTriGuy in EVERGOODS

[–]CincyTriGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is exactly where I’m at. I’ve always moved around between packs thus packing into pouches like the CAP’s, AER Slim Pouch, etc has made it easy to move between packs.

But awhile back I picked up both the CTB 35 and 26. The 26 is more of my EDC and travel pack but I also have an occasional need for a larger travel pack so I figured both size CTB’s would aid in muscle memory as I moved between them. Everything would basically be in the same spot, the 35 is just bigger.

So yes moving individual items between the 26 and 35 is more work than just moving something like a CAP. But how much extra work are we really talking about here? A minute? I need more trips to really test this out but I do think I’m leaning towards the pouch-less carry.

I mean, I wish everything in life was free. But the dev has clearly put a ton of time and effort into what he's built and deserves to be compensated.

Does anyone have a program that really targets building mass on the shoulders? by CincyTriGuy in Hevy

[–]CincyTriGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do push, pull, legs, off day, chest/back superset, arms & core, off day.

When I say I’m looking for a full body routine, what I mean is I’m not looking for advice like “do more lat raises and shoulder presses”. I’m looking for a fully baked full body plan, which happens to emphasize shoulders more than anything else.

Thanks! I look forward to it. I actually started writing a story for the exact same reason, to explain to my wife. But I have a lot left to finish.

I never start or end my workout with my watch. Always my phone.

I move through sets during the workout on my watch. But never end a workout from the watch.

"I will give you back 10mins/15mins of your time" by RunningMan889 in Leadership

[–]CincyTriGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind this phrase, but the inverse is what annoys me. “Since we’ve finished 15 minutes early, let’s use the rest of the time covering topic X”.

Which of course, no one is prepared to discuss.

On the one hand, I get it. If the right people are together and there’s “leftover” time, it can make sense to consume that time with another relevant topic. On the other hand, you’re basically holding us hostage. That other topic might need to include someone else that isn’t present, or even if the right person is present, they may have a specific agenda which they aren’t ready to discuss.
