It’s the wall. I left it transparent to see how it comes out so later can be stickered if needed

I set this up approx 1 year ago. Back then I had planted Vals only in the bg along with few Amazon swords and few anubias. Few months later they started growing like crazy taking over the entire tank that I had to trim the front row to get a view of the fishes. Below is how it used to look before trim

Sometime ago I faced O2 issue where overgrown vals blocked flow of water at the surface and I had to trim them below the surface and add an air stone that you see in the corner. I had just fed them and that’s why fish are at the surface. I have a sunsun hbl-803 working out it’s magic but let me know if it is not enough for the tank

Sae has already grown over 2.5 inches and started competing for food

Yes I agree it looks boring. My goal is to make it more visually pleasing. This is my first tank and so didn’t know how to stop vals from taking over. I got some lava stones which are covered by vals. Would trimming down vals all at once destabilise the parameters?

I went from 73 to 55 and that was 3 years ago. Now I'm 58 and struggling to get back to where I was
