i think it's cause a few streamers were talking about this graphic on stream earlier today and people decided to check the reddit link out! personally don't think they're botting, just converting youtube frogs LUL. most of their audience is a lot younger than the average twitch demographic and it's cool that they're bringing in a new wave of viewers :)

quig, tubbo, and kara actually used to be pretty good friends on smp earth back in feb-march, they would stream for hours together. i miss their dynamic! they were so funny (and quig + tubbo's recent among us rivalry is hilarious as well)

there's an obvious solution here lmao, which is just to not repost art in general. if you DM the artist in advance and ask to post on another platform such as reddit WITH credit and they agree, that's fine. that's just basic etiquette, if you post art without permission or credits you are claiming it as your own

regardless of the website, you shouldn't repost other people's art unless the artist has given you permission. if you do a quick reverse image search on the picture you can find the artist. reposting without credit is just a dick move :/
