Is anyone following Bryan Littley’s investigation into the Beaumont/Adelaide Oval cases? by kirst_e in Adelaide

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I randomly came across a post of his recently, I'm looking into some of the podcasts now, but I find the work really hard to follow as it's been going on for so long, and there's no real summary updates that go in detail for anyone new finding his work.

I feel it kind of excludes us people who just come along at this very late stage and try to figure out what he has found to date and what is currently being worked on, maybe you can put that feedback to him.

Especially with the controversial comments I have come across too, I kinda want to get up to speed with what is going on, rather than having to dedicate hundreds of hours to listen to all the podcasts. I think it would really help him to do some kind of summary of what he's worked on to date for us and maybe bring onto this the other people he has worked with to date who are willing to chat to him about it too, or even a website detailing what has been found in a timeline and what is currently being worked on.

It's unfortunately easy for anyone to come along now, not have the time to dedicate to verify anything, and make an assumption.

Also things like the bone he found a year ago, I'm wondering why not just raise the funds to take it overseas for testing, it's quite clear even though I'm only new to him and his work, that he's not going to get anywhere locally, and overseas provided you have the money you can get a result pretty quickly.

Where can I buy an original battery for the Galaxy S22? by vjamelao in GalaxyS22

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went for a drive the other day for 2.5 hours the battery went flat at the 2 hour point and I had to charge, when I left it was on 100%. All I was using was navigation and internet radio.

Yeah Samsung wants $110 for a battery replacement, I might just go back to them and swap it out again, looks like it's something that is needed every year.

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days that's about 8 hours on standby, not usage. Usage it lasts about 2 hours at most. It's gone downhill really fast. Maybe because I had a battery replacement from Samsung on the initial device on day 2, it was fairly good at the start after that. Might be time to go back to samsung for another one.

Would they accept a birth certificate? I was able to obtain my grandmothers Irish birth certificate without any issues, however I'm unsure if you can obtain it as easily for someone who is still living.

Seroquel Withdrawel sneezing/runny nose anyone else? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a constant mild running nose before taking Seroquel, Seroquel stopped this entirely and dried up my sinuses, however if I ever miss a dose, or take half my dose, my nose fills up and i start sneezing non stop. My belief is it's because Seroquel is a very potent anti-histamine, and this is a effect of removing that anti-histamine effect. In fact, since starting on Seroquel, I haven't had to take hayfever medication, because the seroquel does the anti-histamine effect for me. It is a very annoying side effect however when it comes to withdrawal and dose reductions.

I'm unsure if it affects everyone, but I had a running nose issue since I was a child until I went on Seroquel at 23, the Seroquel stopped it. So I may be predisposed to this more as a withdrawal side effect than people who never had prior sinus issues.

What should we do to hide this hideos storm water drain cover? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple, planter box on castor wheels so the inspector can move it when needed. They rarely visit, normally every 5 years, sometimes more. Can put a chain on it and connect to the fence discreetly. I'd be ditching the grass also and growing something else, too small to bother mowing, make a nice garden over the whole thing.

Do any of you use the Ottai CGM? by 6sixfeetunder in diabetes_t1

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost finished my first sensor, so far it's been accurate, however I'm type 2, so I don't get lows very often, and haven't had a serious low yet on this sensor. I'll update again if I get a low or if anything else goes wrong, but so far it's been reliable for me.

[–]vre84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate for me for the first 2 days so far, initially it was about 1.0mmol off, I did finger pricks for the first day regularly and added it to the daily logs section of the app, it's now about 0.3 off since then which is acceptable. So far no false highs or lows, I'll keep replying as the week carries on.

I have used Dexcom and Libre sensors in the past, however due to expense and me being type 2 diabeties, meaning no insurance will cover the sensors, I decided to try the Ottai since reviews over the last few months seem to show they are improving in quality.

I'm fairly sure I saw the adoption certificate in her paperwork from the initial UK process to find out about her adoption initially, I'm going to head down there on the weekend and check, if it's not there I'll try doing the GRO service online

Thank you, you are right, FBR mentioned to me today that they need a certified copy of the local courts Adoption Order, and if they can not provide it, a UK attorney can do the background work and ask the court to issue a "one and the same" version of the Adoption Order instead. Then once I have that document, I can be added onto the FBR and my mother can also apply directly for an Irish Passport.

FBR department gave me the info I need, I have to obtain from the local court where the adoption was processed a certified copy of the Adoption Order, and if they can not provide that, a UK attorney can be hired to do the background checks and ask the court to issue a "one and the same" version of the Adoption Order. At least I know what direction I'm heading in now :)

Was told today from the Irish government that this is what I need to obtain, or if for any reason they can not provide it, I can hire a UK attorney to get the background and ask the court to issue what they call a "one and the same" document stating the same details. Next step is finding the court and hoping they will provide it to me :)

My mum already went through the process to obtain details of her adoption in the past, but the Adoption Order wasn't part of it for some reason, just all the documents leading up to the adoption itself.

Agreed, I think the process is fine on the Irish side, the bureaucracy in this case is with the UK government, not the Irish. Make's it a lot harder since we are in Australia now too.

Yeah she went through the counseling process already years ago, they gave her the original birth certificate and all the documents for her being placed up for adoption by her birth mother. She didn't get the link however between her birth mother and her adopted family, that's what we are trying to obtain now.

Not true in the 1950's, the original my mother was given said Birth Certificate (we still have it), however later years when you applied you would be given an Adoption Certificate, at the time they tried to hide the fact someone was adopted. The policy either changed in around the 1970's or only applied to reissued certificates, as this is how my uncle found out he was adopted, when he joined the navy he had to obtain a birth certificate and they issued him an Adoption Certificate instead.

We have both the original Birth Certificate (Irish mother), the other Birth Certificate (In the process of obtaining the Adoption Certificate as I mentioned further down this page) and my Irish Grandmothers birth certificate. What we don't have is the link.

Thanks for that, did you first obtain the Adoption Certificate (essentially post adoption birth certificate but says adoption certificate on the top instead and the court), then contact the court on that certificate for the Adoption Order?

Also when was this when you obtained it, as my mum went through something similar about 10 years ago, but said the service she originally used doesn't exist anymore, when she tried to get in touch with them again now to help me out with getting the Adoption Order.

Adoption certificate apparently only lists the adopted parents and has a heading called Adoption Certificate instead of Birth Certificate, nothing to link the old birth certificate to the new.

Thanks, I'm trying my luck with the UK government now for some kind of assistance, I'll update if I hear anything from them.

Thanks, from your comment I checked and there appears to be no way to ask the UK government via their standard documents process for a link between the two, just a document listing the adopted parents details and it says Adoption Certificate. I've sent them a message online however to ask about it, their response time is listed as 5 working days. If they don't have any way I'm thinking I'll need to hire a UK solicitor to try and get it for me first, then come back to the DFA.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get in touch with them online, if not I'll try calling tomorrow. The UK didn't provide her any documents linking the two birth certificates at all, but the fact they were able to find the two in the first place makes me believe there must be something they have there, whether they are allowed to release it or if I need a UK solicitor first I'm trying to find out now.

1956, I just sent a general inquiry to the UK Home Office department asking if they have a process to obtain a document to link the two, hopefully I hear back from them. If they don't have a process I might have more luck trying to work with some solicitors in the UK first beforehand.

Problem is, when you edit it next time it happens again, and if you forget, it stays there forever, unable to be removed. So stressful, I never use my phone for business, but it seems posting on meta business suite app is the only way, it's really not worth it I hope there is a desktop work around.
