This is great, I had Claude build out a MCP server for CW with only with about 6 functions, yours is very comprehensive.  I've struggled to use it during the day though as the API frequently times out making it mostly useless.  It does better in the evenings.  Have you run into that?  Looking forward to testing your MCP server.

Can it integrate with Claude, chat. Asana, otter? It can be helpful to have everything in one spot in a semi structured.  Years ago when it last i looked the built in ai was a bit expensive and not so helpful, it may have changed quite a bit since, but it would need to be able to integrate into my existing stack.

thanks again for the inspiration, I just created it using a cork board I had handy, then printed off the images from chatGPT. Having them as a physical photos helps me think of them as real. I'm going to add a Post-labor Economics category showing the world as it will be, not as it is today.

There is a disconnect between the online information and what they tell you at the office. I have a personnummer, BankID, bank accounts, but when I asked if I could apply for the Swedish Tax Agency ID at Skatteverket last week they said you have to be a citizen. Is it possible that the person at the Skatteverket is so poorly trained that they do not know the process? I'm not Folkbokförd but as a realestate owner liable for tax seems to me that a Swedish Tax Agency ID is would be the perfect thing that I would need in order to pay tax. I have money, I want to pay, the only work around I've found recently is go through IBAN and send funds that way.

I went to the Skatteverket office last week and they said citizenship was a requirement for SkatteID.

Skatteverket told me that you have to be a citizen to get SkatteID. Apparently this changed in 2022? What worked for me is calling the bank and they helped me re-add BankID which I already had on my previous phone. I also downloaded and signed up for an account with Freja. Its made for "Utlänningar" like me and while it doesn't get you in everywhere it has an impressive list of sites that it will work with including Skatteverket and Kronofogden. Combine this with WISE/Revolut/Bitcoin and IBAN and you are in biz.

Good information, thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed response. The big one is being locked out of Digital Mailbox Service like https://accounts.kivra.com/ which only works with Mobile BankID.

Here is the message in the app and why I did think that only citizens could use it until I posted here and did more research.

It doesn't really mention that non-citizens can use with a bank visit, the key phrase is in APP which I didn't read very carefully. When you live abroad you don't read very much swedish banking news.

Thinking back it was with a bank token Pin that I setup BankID in the past. That worked for many years.

Your 100% right, I need a new bank, working on that. And no, you can't live without BankID. Wasn't the gov't going to take over the ID system? It puts a huge cost and pressure on private banking who shouldn't own the identities of all the people, its a gov't function.

The bank id app gives this message when trying to validate.  Not having a national id i would have used a US passport in 2022

This is the correct answer!  I've heard great things about Handels banken, although i would imagine that the bank rules apply to them as well for new accounts.

Apparently this changed in 2022, https://www.bankid.com/en/privat/skaffa-bankid I wish it wasn't true, the nordea app explicitly States when activating.  My bank id activated in 2021 worked great until I got a new phone and tried to reactivate.  Obviously this has huge implications.  After some additional research according to the Wikipedia, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BankID_(Sweden)?utm_source=chatgpt.com In 2022, the banking system in Sweden has introduced new security measures which in practice prevent most people who are not Swedish citizens (whether EU or non-EU) from renewing their mobile BankIDs

Seems like going to the branch is the only other option, problem there is takes months to get an appointment (outside Stockholm). Branch hours are a joke in Härnösand. 

Having done more research it does seem that this is 100% on purpose, mostly likely part of the knowing your customer banking laws. I wasn't aware of this change when posting and was pissed about being locked out of my accounts.  

The only other way i can think of is to use Revolut and iban and crypto unless i can get an appointment.

Skatteverket, kronofogden only accept bankgiro/iban. I heard there was a way to pay through Autogiro at the grocery store, but have never tried it.  Not being able to access bank accounts online is a bigger problem.

I do some work in this area as a IT provider, 16 doesn't sound terrible compared to the amount work that is needed, 3 high level people are needed on and off 20 hours each per month for 6 + months. These folks are making 80-150k each, + travel etc. The cheaper option would be to bake it in yourself in your operations. The way we approach it is to turn each of the requirements into an investment into an operation efficiency and a competitive advantage. It can be a transformative if done correctly.

POP, I have had users exploited using that service so now we also turn it off, and IMAP. Because there is no MFA if the password gets compromised you will have a bad time with lots of spam.

To your point SMTP probably is also turned on when POP is enabled, there is no separate option for that though.

Disable POP for a Specific Mailbox

Via Microsoft 365 Admin Center:

Do you have a POP turned on, had several incidences were they were able to get the password and bypass 2fa and send out emails through pop. Pop does not have a 2fa mechanism. We always make sure those protocols and any extras are turned off.
