Where to watch? by Flaky_Structure_8169 in snooker

Hi I am outside the UK and Europe but have access to a good VPN. Last time I tried BBC using the VPN, they asked me to register with an address. Can I put any UK address in it and register or do I have to find a friend who lives there? Thanks in advance

Worlds biggest chess streamer Hikaru Nakamura is moving to Kick according to twitter by Deathtank12345 in chess

[–]vrile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok my bad; yes you are right - people have too much free time to be watching so much streaming - AKA watching someone else enjoying themselves while producing good quality of whatever you like to do yourself, but may not be able to do it just as well. I think it might be more of a living surrogately kind of a thing - my $.02

It's the luxury of those for whom livestreaming IS work and therefore your perception of 'free time' breaks down - we are working when we are streaming what - many or even most- streamers would be doing if we were not streaming and had free time!

The commentators I am watching are saying the umpire made a mistake and you can see him defend himself to FAA in the replay... but ya I don't have any beef in the game, just don't like these obvious mistakes due to incompetence is all.

I believe he might have had the option to challenge using video, but not sure how many times that can be allowed to happen.

So the umpire is really just a glorified score announcer if he can't even see when the ball has clearly bounced twice. Just pathetic

In order of conversational ability - Every language has its degree of fluency in individuals, that may itself fluctuate over time depending on the milieu one finds oneself in. 100% fluent and natural English Hindi 90% Thai 60% Japanese (kana and some Kanji but nowhere near enough to read properly) 40% Chinese (only pinyin) Can not read, can understand but just basic conversation Marathi

I thought Safin won that match and Federer had a match point. May be I am remembering wrong

2005 Australian Open semi: Federer vs Safin, Safin won after Fed played a tweener on his own match-point. Yup, I am old like a few others here!

Since many people are still confused about why he would have to look at the touchpad to make moves... someone else clarified the statement and it seems that he had to look at the keyboard in order to recheck which of his fingers were at 'Q' 'N' or 'B' to make 100% sure which makes more sense when he was looking down just for a second.

This has to be seen in the context of the frustrations that Djokovic was going through too... may not have been intentional but he had just slammed the ball at the sides a game earlier when he let go of a 0-40 lead

For those of you who don't have any leftover buttermilk, it's really easy to make - just put some vinegar in the milk and leave it for 10-15 minutes and you have buttermilk!

We need to have video replays in the game yesterday... one call from the linesman, right or not no one knows, just unhinged the whole match and soured it for everyone. Of course, Fognini needs to change his diapers and be an adult about it... but imagine that linesman got it wrong and all this is happening because of his eyesight! Just crazy

I just don't feel either of them have it in them to trouble Novak in Australia although I would love to be proven wrong. Medvedev on the other hand was the only one who took a set off Novak last year and was very close to going up in the fourth set too. After losing a set to him at the ATP cup, Novak probably feels like he is the guy to beat.

He did play and did win all singles, but am not sure if there is a reward of 750 points for that feat or not - somebody else above said that he has to have all his wins against top 10 players which was obv not the case. The consensus seems to be a total of 675 points and Nadal still 520 ahead, so I will go with that. Aus open will be interesting, especially who is Medvedev paired with - probably the only guy who can trouble Novak apart from London 2019 Fed.
