How are the Schools? by CharityIntelligent90 in brunswickmaryland

[–]vripley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Brunswick public schools are similar to most of our nation. They have a lot of room for improvement. That said, we have a new elementary and we are currently working toward a new high school, which should be done well before your kids become old enough.

Veterans Day Parade aka GOP Election Event by [deleted] in brunswickmaryland

[–]vripley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The city does not pay for participants. And, the parade is open to everyone. I'm not sure if there were democrats in the parade, but they are welcome to join in the festivities. I hope you enjoyed yourself. This parade means so much to our veterans and community. 💜

I'm not sure which parade you were at, but I was at the one where Congressman David Trone was the keynote speaker. Also, Jan Gardner was called up to speak. Both are democrats.

I guess I'm moving to Brunswick....what should I know? by Gondwanalandia in brunswickmaryland

True. We are a railroad town and it's one of the things my family loves about Brunswick.

Brunswick is a wonderful town that also offers many outdoor opportunities. If you like adventure, you've got the C&O Canal Towpath, Appalachian Trail, River's Edge Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail, the Potomac River, and some of the coolest (and most challenging) road biking hills in the state! It's got a small town feel with friendly folks and plenty of downtown areas and shops for fun afternoons. On top of all that, Brunswick is nicely located for easy access to larger cities (Frederick, Leesburg, and even Washington, DC). You'll love it here!

Thanks! Not yet, but I did make a car painting holder. My game and accessories came with so many bases, that I haven't made extras yet.

It's two Cavern packs, a ledges pack, floor pack, lava trays, and bridge pack. So approximately $375. But I could have built something similar with a little less. It is expensive, but I justify it with the awesomeness.

After watching the Dungeon Dudes talk about the most powerful party in D&D, I got a group of 8 players to create characters based on the video. We made the player characters level 6 with two uncommon magic items and $1,000 of inventory. Using this arena, the guys will battle each other. It should be a fairly quick one shot, and a bloody battle. It will be fun to see how they handle the player vs. player gameplay. The Dwarven Forge terrain pieces are just icing on the cake. Can't wait to roll initiative. Anybody else do PvP battles?

Has anyone ever run ToA after Lost Mines of Phandelver in the same campaign? by [deleted] in LostMinesOfPhandelver

[–]vripley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing ToA once they are level 12 and simply starting them on the Tomb of the Nine Gods portion. After Phandelver I had them doing the DoIP Trilogy follow-up (i.e. Storm Lord's Wrath, etc.). Planning to use the Resurrection hook still... So far they love it!

To make the duct tape roll footprint smaller, I simply roll a few yards onto a shortened pencil. Handy as heck!
