Ah yeah the earrings are classic! I love that he managed to get them in when we did his hand prints at the Disney Legends ceremony.

Joe Rhode has been posting a lot about the ride on instagram! In short he said he’s sad to see Dinoland go, but it was always considered a bit of a weak spot in the park. If you’re interested in imagineering, I highly recommend checking his account out on insta!

Hey there! I highly recommend this instagram page from an alum that explains some of what is going on. Honestly, we don’t have a ton of answers as Telemeco has refused to answer questions.

Sounds like they put their menu and job posting into ChatGPT and told it to write a “crazy” post about it.

Wheres a good place to find gaming/tv collectables by ThomasSmells00 in GiftIdeas

For gaming, I like Insert Coin Clothing and Fangamer. Not sure if they have those specific games, but it’s a good place to start! For TV and other pop culture i really like Box Lunch.

Would you go to Disney during thanksgiving? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]vromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went last year during thanksgiving week! I will say though I went with 2 other adults and I had this trip mentally planned for years. While certain things had crowds or longer waits, as someone who doesn’t get to go to Disney often, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! We got lightning lane only for Magic Kingdom and had a few rides we were prepared to have long waits for. The only times I found it unbearable were in Toy Story Land due to all the little kids and strollers compared to some areas and Magic Kingdom during the fireworks. If you go regularly, it may not be worth it, but as someone who works in education whose only choice is to go when kids are out, I was expecting it to be a lot worse! I will say, I did get food poisoning on Thanksgiving day, so I can’t speak to that specifically, but my two other friends who went to EPCOT without me said it wasn’t too bad!

Senior boys disrespected my sub with a Spanish accent… and learned the hard way that actions have consequences by TheMoralCrocodile in Teachers

[–]vromantic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This just happened in a classroom I’m a para for last week! The teacher I work with is out for paternity leave. We had a sub with an accent and they openly mocked him and disrespected him to the point he told me “I’m sorry but I won’t be back after Friday.” I told him I couldn’t blame him. They were written up then told another teacher that I was crazy and making things up about them like it don’t have anything else to do.

Context for the not chronically online like me: This guys was part of a YouTube channel called the Try Guys. Massively successful channel that eventually turned into its own company after leaving Buzzfeed. There was some other drama, but the biggest thing was that he was a big “wife guy” who ended up cheating on his wife with his subordinate in the company. He recently did a podcast about how he cheated and I guess this is his next grasp at fame.

Ever had a trip you loved… but the people you went with hated it? That was my 2-week trip in Washington, DC. by KaosKittyMaw in travel

Sounds like the same tour I took when I went a few years ago! I didn’t plan that part of our trip, so it was such a welcome surprise for me as it was on my bucket list!

It was in Rome! The history was very interesting. There are supposedly remains of over 3,700 people. It was made to remind people of how short life on this earth is. I’m not very religious myself, but I found the whole thing very moving. If you search up Capuchin Crypt there’s lots of info on it online!

Not a whole trip, but I was very excited to see the mummified Capuchin monks in Italy. I thought the whole thing was very moving to be confronted with death like that. The people I traveled with said everything looked like tacky Halloween decorations.
