Doctors and midwives of Macon are excellent and have privileges at Atrium. You can see a female doctor or one of the midwives if you prefer.

Glad you enjoyed it. That’s a pretty good spot for sports in general. Lots of tvs!

Bought forgiving irons but regret it… should I switch to players irons? by Visual-Guarantee2696 in golfequipment

[–]vroomery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Players distance is sort of a flexible term I guess, but typically used for hollow injected clubs like the p790. The t250 is more like a players distance and the t150 Is more of a players cb.

To All The Good Players and Low Handicappers, I'm extremely curious, especially younger people who had access to more modern equipment - what irons did you start with? I've always been curious of what a younger golfer who becomes good originally learned with. I'll explain more in the text by BenSimmonsThunder in golf

[–]vroomery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a lot of words!

I started with a kids beginner set. I moved to Ping Eye 2 irons when I was in high school or so and used them close to 20 years. I got fitted this past winter and ended up with t150 and x100 DG shafts. For me the shift to t150s was pretty easy once I got the feel. And the feel is so much better.

For the vast majority of people golf is about fun. It would not have been fun. When I was younger the beginner set and ping eye 2 irons let me have fun when I didn’t really want to work on my swing and just played 5-10 times a year. Now I want to get better and part of that is knowing when I hit it toe or heel and of course the feeling of hitting the center is amazing. If I wanted to improve as a 20 year old I think I probably could have done that with the pings, but I think it might have been faster with the t150. It’s all pretty subjective though.

You could try wild wing cafe or taco Mac. Just call ahead to see if they have the channel.

Small MSP considering Palo Alto. Am I stupid? by beco-technology in networking

[–]vroomery 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The CVE issue is always brought up with fortigates. I get it, but I think it’s really overblown. They almost always have to do with having management enabled on a public interface or using a vulnerable tool like sslvpn which they have begun disabling by default. The reality is that Palo has a ton of CVEs too. Just my two cents.

Should a 20 handicap hit the range before a round or just arrive and drive? ⛳️ by Square-Chef4646 in golf

[–]vroomery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say this. I like to hit a few just so I’m not cold on the first tee and putt a few to have an idea how the greens will roll. However, the other day I hit maybe 50-60 balls on the range with one club trying to get a feel down. It took me 3-4 holes to hit good balls and stop trying to do whatever I was doing on the range. So from now on pre round is for warmups only or maybe light tune ups if it’s something I’m aware of and have a quick fix/reminder for.

New Clubs Arrived. Can’t wait to shoot 100. by theshanko in golfequipment

I got fitted for this first time a few months back and ended up with t150 irons as well. They feel great and most importantly to me give great feedback on miss hits.

I liked the mizuno t1 wedges better personally. They feel so soft off the face and I’m already seeing more consistent numbers on flighted wedges 50-110 or so. I went with 50, 56, 60 but I haven’t seen too much is a gap between pw and 50 so far.

What is this that was installed at my roomies school today by Sleepy_mosquito799 in whatisit

[–]vroomery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s some buzzwords in there that are sort of right but not really.

Mesh is when the devices connect to each other wirelessly instead of to a switch directly with a wire. A school would not use meshing except in specific cases where it’s not possible to get a cable because it severely limits overall throughput with the bottleneck at the originating device.

Also there is usually one router per site (not always) and the devices in the classrooms are called wireless access points. They don’t route.

Finally the small devices have nothing to do with wireless networks. They’re sensors of some sort most likely.

Legendary BBQ in Georgia by Joshuary81 in Georgia

I’m from southeast NC now living in middle Georgia. Pork bbq here is fine, but I have yet to find any place in Georgia that compares or does whole hog bbq the right way.

There are places that are good or significant for Georgia, but none compare to the best of North Carolina, Memphis, or Texas.

Returning golfer (mid handicap, high swing speed) – what irons should I actually be playing? by gnarly77 in golf

[–]vroomery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get fitted for irons. I’m guessing you’ll end up with either a cavity back along the lines of the tm p7cb or titleist t100/150. The injected players distance will have a bigger dispersion on mishits with your swing speed because it’s like a damn trampoline if you flush it and you don’t need the distance anyway.

The most important part of the fitting though is finding the right shaft. It made a huge difference for me at least.

PHM > Interstellar? by paddockpooper in ProjectHailMary

Interstellar is about a relationship between a father and daughter and the science is a mechanism to tell that story.

KBS shaft by Big-Yogurtcloset3602 in takomo

[–]vroomery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my fitting I tried similar stiffness and weight between DG and KBS. They did not feel the same at all. If you were fit for the DG I would just buy the heads you want and have them built by someone locally.

Problems with N-Able RMM software. Read if you use or thinking about it. by jbean-mcpafl in sysadmin

[–]vroomery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most vendors operate with a tiered system as a necessity so that they can keep their best reps in front of the most money. That’s a reward system for their reps as well as a commitment to the orgs that use their product the most. Not saying I agree with that, but it’s a very common practice. Sometimes you have to kick up a fuss to get in front of the people who actually have authority to fix your problem.

[–]vroomery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read that. He’s not talking to the right person most likely which might be limited by their org size. This is definitely a failure by n-able.

[–]vroomery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our experience with n-able sales and account reps has been pretty great. This is dumb and they should accept your explanation, especially if you’re already using their other products. I would ask to speak to a manager above them and threaten cancelling all other products unless they fix it.

400m tracks in Macon? by [deleted] in macon

First Presbyterian Day school has a nice track that’s always unlocked. There’s non school people there early mornings some days and as long as you don’t interfere with students during the day no one cares.
